We have a congress, not a parliment. It was the house of represenatives, not the senate. It stil has to be merged with the senate version. It still has to go in to committee then back out for deliberation and vote in the senate. With any luck, we still have time to stop this abomination. they haven't taken an outcome of good faith, the went against the very grain of our constitution and founding principals with this particular bill. It's all wrong, they have no interest in getting it right, at least not right for us, they'de rather placate lawyers, insurance companies and their own wallets. 2010 can't get here soon enough, ever seen 560+ legislators all fired at once?

Obama did not propose the legislation, that is not his job. It was written by members of the House of Representatives. It barely passed and was passed over the objections of the majority of the American people. That makes it a vote in bad faith, if you know anything of contract law. These are bad faith negotiations and legislation. These legislators are supposed to put into effect the will of the people, not their own agendas. The Senate will not pass this bill, that has already been pretty much decided. This is not going to fly with members of the Senate. Although it is very nice that you take an interest in US politics, quite honestly, a health care bill in the US hardly affects you unless you decide to emigrate to America.

We don't think that government run health care as a good thing. Any time our government has run any thing it cost the tax payers so much more the is estimated and it isn't very fair. There is so much fraud in all the government programs. I don't understand why those that live in countries that have government health care are so wanting us to have it too when don't want it.

I'm not going to "correct" you again on the details of your post and I'm not going to say you have no business being interested in U.S. health care. Unlike most of the others who have responded here, I totally agree that I hope to see more good things like this in the US! Some here will say "we" don't want "government run health care"; actually that "we" doesn't include anywhere near all of us here in the United States, in fact the majority, according to most polls and certainly according to everyone I know, are in favor of a health care reform plan which includes a public option. The details are what they don't want you to pay attention to. They just want to do as Obama tells them. There's some enormous fear about disagreeing with him. It's easy to say most people support this reform without citing numbers, but the most recent polls state 54% of Americans oppose Pelosi's bill with only 42% favoring. You can tell that's a real poll because it clearly includes the 4% moron factor of people who have no idea what the question is about. Most people in the US oppose this bill. If Pelosi is more popular in other countries, perhaps we could work out some kind of foreign exchange.

The ironic part being that most proponents of anything government-run don't seem too concerned with the bill's details, other than having a public option and it being passed. I think some just want another shot at BOOOOOYAA

Yeah, next they will give everyone a free car. (Oh yes, the cars won't work and all the mechanics that fix the cars will leave because no one will pay them to fix the cars that don't work, but hey, Free car) Yay government!!!!!!!!
