The law of matter states that "it cannot be created nor destroyed but can be transform into one form or another". If this is true (that matter cannot be destroyed), then what happens to that missing socks from the dryer? My wife just asking Sunday evening when preparing our clothes for next morning. No one answers, but I bet you want to try it.

There are answers for every question ever asked. All the secrets of the universe stare us in the face. Who is wise enough to See, To Understand?????? Socks? Did I hear Socks?? The mystery is solved. The socks do not leave by way of the dryer. No my friend. It is the washer doing it. They are being pumped out the drain. How did I acquire such wisdom, such knowledge that spans the universe???? One of my socks didn't quite make it out. It locked up my water pump on my washer. Ah yes, the joys of a full washer that will not drain for my sock is in the pump. Suddenly, I'm challenged into becoming a washing machine mechanic. Bale the water, disconnect the water lines, unplug the power, lay the machine on it's side, crawl up the bottom, take the pump out, find my missing sock. One load of clothes took all day but it all works. Education all comes with a price, but now I know where my socks are going. Easier just to buy another pair.

One has to sacrifice himself/herself for the benefit of the whole human kind. Hope that many will come to read your response and will never ask the same questions again and again. lol

Well, the Sock Monster eats them, of course. Then they turn into fat around his belly. Has to be... you never find those other socks, do you? They're food for sock monsters.

Oh my goodness I know exactly what you mean and it is extremely frustrating, and I have it worse than the average person because I have tiny feet, which means I have very small socks because I like to wear the ankle cut ones. So they frequently get lost or dropped somewhere, and are never to be found. It really sucks when you have a favorite pair of socks too, just one of life's irritating mysteries.
