yes i have a bank account in my name but have never ued it . my dad got me one but as i was too young at that time only he used to manage it . but now i can too but since i have no job and income i am probably thinking how to utilise all the money [:)]in it

I have a current account which child benefit and tax credits are paid into, and a fixed amount each month from my partner. I've always had my own account as I was working before I had my children, and I would never have a joint account with my partner as he's useless with money, it would be disastrous. I also have a savings account which my parents opened for me when I was about 3, I don't save regularly but I put money aside when I can. My children have trust funds, which I opened and pay money into monthly, but they can't access the money until they are 18.

I have 2 personal bank accounts which I handle. I use one for my revolving fund, that is, for my and my husband's income and for paying our bills. The other one is for my own savings that my husband knows it exists but he cannot and does not try to touch
He handles the other two accounts, one joint and the other in my own name. The only account in his name is his payroll account.
It is my stand that married women, whether employed, self-employed or housewives, should have their own bank account. We never know what will happen, thus, we must never be left with nothing.

Hello neelimaravi! It's easier to manage your budget when you have bank account. I have more than one bank accounts and they are for different purposes. One of them is a requirement from my office because that's where my salary would be transfered. The other one is for saving. I love how easy banking is nowadays. It really efficient and saves time.

I do have 3 personal accounts. I had opened it many years back. One for business and the other two for personal use. I took these accounts mainly for availing loans. But now it have given me more positive side as I could put my saving too.Moreover now the bank had made its procedures very strict for opening an account.

Yes I have personal account. Since I was working, my salary was credited to my account. Now I only make purchases for the family, from milk,provisions to TV, mixie etc. So my husband gives me cheque and I deposit it in my account and withdraw as and when required. I think now-a-days everyone will have an account whether they go personally to operate or husband operates on behalf of the housewife.

I think gone are the days when money is just kept in your sock drawer or under the mattress. Having a bank account is really important, plus if you work full time, you'll need it to get your salary.. I think almost everyone already have their own bank accounts, even students nowadays maintain their own account, the parents use it to give allowances to their kids..
