Can people of two different race be good couples?

I definitely think it may pose problems especially if there is a major difference in culture and customs. What one culture deems normal another may deem as taboo. However, it depends on the individuals and how stead-fast they are in their beliefs. People can adapt if they want to but should not be forced to.

Being English speaking, if my partner spoke a different language that would be as easy as learning his language. So I don't think language is a biggie. Cultures and customs can be the hurdles to overcome. Someone in the relationship will have to change or there will possibly be conflict.

There can be a problem but if you really love your partner you can overdue any circumstances and not just looking for any excuses, actually without you knowing even if you couple or get married with your own race problem still appear, because the problem doesnt appear itself, we are the one who create it, as a couple you had to be tolerate, understanding, loving and caring so it doesnt even matter if they are in different race

Nothing is impossible with love Of course problems may arise but that's just normal in any relationship. Respect in one another is important and of course if you're responsible enough you won't marry if you do not know what consequences you'll have to face head on. Give and take is also a great factor when it comes to this kind of relationships.

it's really good question. in fact I'm in the position. My husband and I come from different cultures.Because i followed him living in his country so I found in many ways i have to give up my own culture to suit the local one.

it's really painful. sometimes i do think i made a mistake to be in the positon. but i know i have no way to come back.

i just want to suggest people who want to develop a relationship with people from other culture to be very careful. think twice to decide what do you want? what you can stand if things not like you expect?

Love can make impossible things possible. I have seen many couples from different races but suit well with each other. If you are really in love with someone, then you will not care much about the background of your partner because what matters is the type of person he/she is. But being in love and being married does not guarantee a problem-free and worry-free life. Every couple goes through many problems and whenever they are in such a mess, one thing they can rely on is the love they have for one other that is why love is magical. No one can really explain or define it because we can just feel it and because of love, one can beat all the odds.

I think it also depends on the way each culture views 'love'. Us westerners view love as some kind of romantic ecstasy, whilst others view it as a duty. A friend of mine just left her bf because he was from a totally different culture. Some people have attacked her and called her racist, but truth be said, she was just being objective. I know that a relationship with someone from a different culture brings a lot of problems, so it depends on how ready one is to work around the issues.

I think it all depends on the person's personality and whether or not the family accepts the relationship. Of course a person whose family doesn't stand with them is going to face a lot of punishments from them so therefore it will create tension in the family. That isn't it part of the cultural barriers. Now if the family is all for it, and each person can accept the other and their differences then I think will be mostly fine. But of course tension can always develop later especially when kids are put in the picture.

Either way I see it going both ways. People just need to be open minded.

To each his own ya know. If the person makes you happy go for it! I think it is so hard to find a good spouse these days that if you happen to find one but the are a dif race it should not even pose a question. And ya know if many people would mind there own household instaed of other peoples there prob would not be many problems for the mix race couples. Notice the problems come from other nosy people! Sooo as far as I see it God created us all and he loves us all and we are suppose to love one another. If people really feel love in the spirit they wouldnt pay any mind to mix race couples!

everything is fair in love and war..it doesn't matters that the two couples are of different races,the thing matters is the love between them and their mutual understanding..rather we all are humans and live under a common brotherhood.the world is converted into a global village with very less difference...so there is no wrong in marring between different races..

Love transcend age, race, class and culture. Love is about passion,feeling and affection. Love starts as an attraction to another. If the love is natural they would definetly endup loving eachother till eternity.
