What board games did you used to play when you were a child?  

We used to play checkers and Chinese checkers, Parcheesi, Monopoly, something called Park and Shop. I also remember having an Uncle Wiggly game. Plus we played dice games like Yahtzee and Skunk. We also played Cootie which isn't really a board game, but a different kind where you got to build a big bug! I haven't named them all, but we played a lot of them.

I used to play Guess Who, BattleShip, Clue, Monopoly, Aggravation and Sorry. I am sure there are others I played but I can't remember them right off hand! I played these with family and friends alike!

when i was growing up, i used to love to play board games with my parents. i am an only child so we used to play uno, boggle (its sort of like scrabble) and snakes and ladders. i play them with my kids too.

I used to play Monopoly and snakes and ladders
But not very often as I was more of a reader then anything else
I used to love sitting in my room and just read

I think i was a bit like gabs as I used to sit and read more than play board games
I had 4 siblings and all the games always ended up in fights and I couldnt be doing with it.
Monopoly was the worst, and the games went on and on and on and onm and on and on, and did my head in
All this you owe me money for landing on this, and you owe me money for landing on that!!
Ludo was good though, and draughts as well, them were quite quick games
My brother used to get in a sulk when he was losing and pick up the board in a bad temper and throw it all over the place

jigsaw puzzles too. Later on with my husband and my son we would play chess and poker too.

I love childhood memories!=) It pulls me back to the time when my siblings and I would play board games such as snakes and ladders, game of the generals, chess, and our favorite, monopoly! My elder sister and I used to compete in chess tournaments in our school, too. Never had the chance to play these games again now that I'm an adult. Well, I may be in the future, once my son learns how to play them.lol

i used to play so many board games when i was younger. actually i'm really not that old from child hood i'm in my teens. but when i was younger i used to always spend the night at my teachers house and she would have 100's of board game which really surprised me. she loved board games just as much as i did. she told me her family during christmas and holiday would bring them out. which is a great idea my family isn't really that type of family. they talk , laugh, eat and leave. not much going on there. so i played many board games none of them were mine. she had trouble, she had the game where you toll a dice in two cups together, she had clue, monolopy and too many to remember. most of my favorites that i played with her i now have at my house now.

I used to love family night. We would play board games such as Sorry, Keno(we played for pennies), Clue, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit & Yahtzee. I always looked forward to those nights which usually occurred on the weekends & not on school nights. We'd all sit around the kitchen table, spread out the snacks & the baord game & let the fun begin. It's really sad that most parents today don't do that with their children. It's something we always remembered about our childhood.

I did love snakes and ladders when i was small. I liked scrabble too but never won. I wasn't very good with board games. I also felt like my playmates did not want me to join them, LOL. I was the youngest in the neighborhood and in the family, that was why...
I preferred coloring books and had plenty of them.
