Please Send Some Prayers Your Way....Dealing With More Red-tape From SSA

Copying the same answer I just gave you on Facebook (minus one word myLot won't accept). I know we are in different countries but it sounds like Social Security offices are the same in both. They make you jump through hoops to satisfy their demands, even though they likely have all the info they need anyway by cross-referencing with other Government Departments such as Taxation. It is a pain in the asss you have to do this but it sounds... Read More like you have all the info you need to prove your case. You'll be okay. As to having to travel, wouldn't they know your disability means you can't leave the house? I don't know what your disability is and don't expect you to tell me here but, surely, they would have all the info and take it into account? Hoping you CAN provide all the required info by phone/fax. As for changing your bodyclock to adjust to new hours, it IS do-able. Fellow night owl here. Until recently, I went to bed around 1-2am but now have a job that requires me to get up at 4.30am for a 7am start (which is why I'm not generally on the internet when my American friends are anymore). I am now in bed by 9pm and up by about 3am without an alarm and that only took a week. Good luck, though I'm sure you'll be okay.

hi pyewacket oh lord when dealing with the Social security and ssi people its the berries,it takes so long and even after we had filled out the paper work for me for ssi they were going to give me just 281 dollars but when I got put here in Gold Crest the adminstrator had some clout and she got me a lot more and really fast,I dont know yet what her pull was but in afew days the ssi people wrote me and told me they had upped my ssi payment so that with the ssi and my social security check I could pay these people each month and still have one hundred twenty five dollars left over for my personal expenses. When we had originally seen the ssi social security people he was not impressed that I could barely walk so the administrator here was the motivator but too she used a different office too so who knows. I hope this all gets cleared up for you.Pye and that you get your ssi benefits to continue. you would think that that money is coming out of the ssi person's own pocket.Pye I

I kind'a had the same problem but it had to do with filing bankruptcy. I filed in February and because they messed around and kept putting me off as far as the paper work June of that same year came around.... Guess what I got this big fat check for $10,000 from my back pay from my SSDI so being a paper freak like you I had to show proof of everything the $10,000 was spent on and paying myself back....$6000 automatically went to my landlord because he paid for my trailor and the moving of it... and then I had to fish out all the receipts for putting down floors, paint, appliances and so on.... Anything I put into the trailor I could put toward the $10,000 because it was not money I would normally have spent and it was the dwelling I was living in....So I really know what you are going through and all the red tape... I finally got my bankruptcy through the following year in February... Just be patient and everything will work out.... I know it will with God on your side.

done nothing wrong and have nothing to feel guilty about!
I, as you know am having my own "problem" with the "State"
about my "Medicaid" that they expect me to pay for out of
the money they are "giving" me! They are out of their
"phucking" minds expecting you or I to pay them or do anything
to give them money! They are totally phucking insane! They
are the ones who declared us "disabled" for a reason! I can't
even go on about the unfairness of what they are putting us
through! And, of I have a Valium, so here take one and let
me know if it helps! It doesn't work for me! Remember, I am
a drug addict!lol

I hate when they do this crap, Pye. I'm organized as well but have no copy machine or scanner here so I either have to drive downtown to the office and let them make copies of everything or go to my town paper and pay them to make copies. Either way, I'm using money I don't have when nothing has changed since the last time they did the re-determination. Your in my thoughts and sending prayers that this can be resolved and soon without you having to travel there. ???

You have my good thoughts and prayers. I'm sure you can handle this; you did it before. You have the same birthday as I do.

Pye, I hate stuff like this, but maybe it will all smooth out and go away if you talk to them by phone. My sister has pretty good luck getting stuff done by mail and phone. Of course this is a different state and things are different all over the country. I do not know how they could get so messed up but I think the rule is this: Let the big guy get away with murder, but bleed the little guy dry. Give them a gut ache before you do that.
