What is your feeling when you get a portable TV as a gift.  

I cannot give it to anybody, because it has been put in the TV, that it is a gift from the government. Furthermore it is illegal to sell or gift this TV to others.

It is the power of the people. My government has not only given a TV, it has also given gas stoves to poor people as well as cycles to all the students of government schools. Hopefully, next time they might give us a lap top.

I can assure you that my government has taken a lot of steps to provide jobs to all the people. The problem is such that the people are spoiled for jobs, and it is very difficult for us to get people to do menial jobs like construction work, and laying of tiles. It has gone to such a level,that now days people from Bihar are doing this work, and in hotels it is people from east who are the servers, and waiters.

What is so wrong with working as a tile layer? In my family manual work is respected!!

Since this is a gift from the government, it is illegal to gift or sell this TV to anybody.

Yes, I am thinking of keeping it in my bedroom, since this is the first gift, I have got from my government.

Thanks for the response lidiam84. The thing is the government is giving some thing to us instead of taking everything for them. Regarding education, my government is taking a lot of pains, so that the children will come to school and study. One of the benefits is the poor children are given mid day meals free in the government and the corporation schools. The thought being that atleast for the meals the poor parents will be forced to send their children to school. Our government has also banned child labour, so that the parents do not send their children for work.

It is quite nice on the part of the government to give coupons for a Digital Box for your TV. I hope our government also gives us a free Digital connection.
Yes I already have a TV, and in fact I recently changed my old 29 inch CRT to a 42inch LCD.Now I have a cute 14 inch color TV which I can keep in my bedroom.

Well I suppose you could say it's nice though here in the USA we recently we're in a manner of speaking forced to go to digital or else we'd have no t.v. A friend of our who lives out in the woods can not get many channels on the digital box so it's a waste that he got said box...

My government has been on a giving spree. They have given gas stoves with connections to some poor people, and have also given cycles to school children. The way things are going, during the next election some political partys might start promising Lap tops, and motor cycles to the electorate.

I already have a TV, I cannot sell this TV, since it is illegal to sell the set which has been given by the government.
This is response to you answer which you have given in this discussion, regarding tile layers, I did not mean any thing wrong, what I wanted to say was, we are not able to get people to lay the tiles, since, because of industialization of my state, most of them have got work in the factories, and we have to import workers to lay down tiles, from other states.

I see!Well, keep it apart just in case your old one gets damaged. :). And if old one gets damaged, find some tv repairer to sell the parts to.
