Recently Bukisa installed the tweetmeme for all the articles in bukisa. I was very happy to see a few tweets for some of my articles. After checking everywhere, I find that many bloggers are using tweetmeme too. Fortunately Blogger has this feature, so I install it early this morning. I'm very happy to see that my recent blog post has one tweet. i dont know whether it will improve the traffic or not. It's just good to see that someone bothers to help me tweet the blog post.

Tweetmeme? That is a very cute sounding application. What is it exactly? A plugin you can use on the blog? How does one go about getting one in one's blog?

Will do Will do! I am working as hard as I can to learn more about blogging! I have so many ideas running in my head right now. And any help to convert them into reality is much appreciated. Blogging and earning some money from the blogs is just one of the many ideas. And the chat with you the past few days has been valuable! Thank you so much! I look forward to reading all your articles in your blogs. They are pretty informative, and easy to digest! A plus for an old man!

You can see from my profile page. I have two blogs only, each got more than a hundred articles le, so wear your old-man reading glasses before reading oh, otherwise your eyes pop out, not my business! Anyway, both blogs also PR2 le, if you leave comment using Name/URL option, you can use comments to provide backlinks to your blog de. Join blogcatalog and technorati, submit the blogs there. They provide backlinks to my blogs too. Just sign up, submit and wait for approval. Both are blog directories.

LOL, I don't even know what that is! I think I received an email the other day saying someone wanted to follow me on twitter or something like that and I asked the person if they couldn't just contact me directly. I do not have the time to keep up with twitter, facebook or any of the rest of that stuff. It's nice though that Bukisa is doing it for you.

I dont have twitter, facebook or other social networking accounts. Anyway it's better that the readers recommend my writing than I spend hours and hours "kidnapping" readers. At least it shows that they like the information, and are willing to recommend to their online pals.

I would like to think that I could get good enough at SEO that my articles/blog will always have traffic even when people are not looking for them.

Hi Canellita, you have to do some marketing before your blog can kick off. If the search engines dont even know that your blog exists, then how do you expect the search engines to send spiders to crawl and index your blog posts. You have ping the articles in the blog so that the search engines can put it in the queue for the spiders to crawl your blog.

This is just so cool. I'm going to have to add that gadget to my blog then. It's been awhile since I check the latest functions on blogger. Cool, if there are people tweeting my posts, then that would be awesome. Anyway, you could add other AC writers on Twitter. Just a few minutes each time to retweet their articles back and I've seen some increases on my page views.

Hi Zed, I dont know how to embed it into the blog post, so I just drag and place it above the blog post. Too bad the blogger.com function is bit limited. I prefer to see the button in each and every blog post. It's very cute, with very cute name, like the name of a cat.

Hi fifileigh, that's great. It seems such a cute little button for readers to use. I dont have twitter account, so all the tweets are made by readers, not me nor my friends. I dont know how effective the tweet is, it does not seem to increase traffic that much. I guess it will have to tweet by those with thousand of followers to be effective.

Yes, I do, and you're right. It's very handy and allows you to tweet a new blog post and allows friends and readers to also tweet your posts...a good handy tool! Karen

Hi Karen, the best is that I dont even have a twitter account, and people are tweeting for me. I wonder why Associated Content does not put up a tweetmeme for all the articles, it will be great for readers to tweet on our behalf. I have seen some successful bloggers with 200 tweets for their popular blog posts. It's impossible for the blogger himself to tweet so many times

Hi karen, I prefer not to join Twitter. It takes time to build up followers. I prefer to have readers tweet for me. If five strangers tweet for me, and they have 200 followers each, then that 5 tweets will reach out to 1,000 people. I think this method works better. I rather concentrate on what I do best, which is writing!

Hi. I do belong to Twitter, and Associated Content does auto-post all my articles to Twitter, facebook, etc. You do have to be a member, which is easy. Twitter is free and a wonderful way to network with other bloggers.
