They say that when we give to others, we receive 10 folds of it in return. All the books I read about becoming a millionaire, how to improve cash flows, how to improve one's financial status, say that from the profits that made from it, we should set aside ten percent of it to give out to charities. I give to our church's contruction but it is not 10%. How about you? Do you practice the 10% thing?

hhmm personally I dont and I wouldnt, this might seem awful but my family are my priority and if I gave 10% to a charity etc etc then I am basically giving 10% of my childrens inheritance to someone or a group I will never directly see the benefit from. So in answer to your question unfortunatly I wouldn't as the most important thing in my life is to make sure my kids and family are well looked after not somebody I will prob never meet.

Giving to others, and giving to a Religious Organization are not the same. When you give to a poor family down the road, you can see the kids eating healthy food, and you can see shoes on their feet. When you give to a Religious Establishment the money is instantly gone from sight. It goes into the coffers of the Church. Yes the Church Officials will tell you how much they do for charities, but they take their cut off the top. There are billions of people going to bed hungry, (and some die of starvation as they sleep) And Churches, particularily the Roman Catholic Church, one of the richest and oldest Businesness in the world, is sitting on untold wealth (much stolen during the middle ages during Holy Wars). No one alive today can even estimate the wealth of religious organizations in the world today, and what do they do with their vast hordes? God only knows and She isn't talking!
