I have 1999 Dodge Caravan which we use to carpool kids in. Aside from the many issues it has, just yesterday it developed another problem. Now, the heats not turning on. With winter coming up, we would like to have the heat back. Would anybody know what the problem here is? Would anybody know how much this would cost if I get this fixed? Any estimate? Thanks for the help.

I hope you got your problem taken care of since this was 3 months ago... what ended up being the problem?
If your heater core went you'd have known about it - was it just a sensor that needed replaced?
I have a 2005 Lincoln and I had the exact OPPOSITE problem - starting in like... March, my heat WOULDN'T TURN OFF!! and I drove it that way until, oh I don't know, JULY? I was ROASTING! TJ thought it had something to do with some flappy thing tht had broken off and the estimate we were given for that was about $1500 + AAAHHHH So I finally broke down and took it to the Ford garage... here it was two coolant sensors... it cost me like $400. YIPEEEE

Actually it was just some sensor thing. And I only had it fixed 3 weeks ago. I thought I could wait it out until spring and summer, but when I brought it to a shop to fix another issue (what a surprise!), I had it looked at then too.
So, I got that fixed. I got the coolant tank leak fixed, and had them change the oil too. And it just cost me a little over $300.
I could have bought a pair of shoes with that $300, and maybe a shirt and a pair of pants. Or had a good dinner out of it, or bought tickets to a game, or...
I'm just saying.
