After 5 days affected by rain the only thing separating the two teams was 32 runs!! That is what Test Match cricket is all alive. Matches like these will really re-ignite the interest in test matches.
Bond and O Brien were spectacular in the last day. Specially O' Brien bowling with a dislocated finger in the bowling hand was an amazing effort.
For Pakistan what a debut by Umar Akmal. A century and a half century.. the only sore thing would be that he could not finish the job in the second innings.
Congratulations to New Zealand for the great victory. Viva Test Cricket!!
Cheers!

It looked more lke a fight between the bowlers in the second innings. brilliantbatting by Ross taylor, Vettori and Akmal Brothers made sure the match would go into an exciting phase when it comes to second innings. Umar Akmal really had a dream debut. Hope he doesn't turn out to be like most of the Pakistani batsmen who come to the fore with a flash and then get extinguished without much mention.
Bond was his usual best. Fiery in pace and crafty in swing. Mohd Asif had a good comeback game as well. The fact that both Asif and Bond had 8 wickets each tells about the domination they had over the opponent batsmen. While Aamer gave good support to Asif, O'Brien lent a good hand to Bond.
All in all it was a great competition and each team played out the match very well. Session by session the pendulum swung. but I think New Zealand won the important sessions of the match. First with gritty batting by Vettori and Taylor and then by Fierce bowling by Bond and O'Brien.

What a turnaround! After being floored by Pakistan in the 2nd innings all seemed lost for New Zealand. But what a comeback from their bowlers.Great victory. Congratulations to New Zealand. only such results will keep Test cricket alive.
