i am from the eckankar religion the light and sound of god soul travel teachings,my friend u r asking a very seriuos question, and i am gonna give u a very simple answer that is gonna be so hard to digest, reading from the holy scriptures of the shariyat ki sugmad books 1 and 2,and before i finish let me say that there are 12 volumes of these scriptures, but only 1 and 2 are in the physical universe, the others are in the golden temples of eckankar on the other spiritual universes u would have to learn soul travel to go to these temples to see the scriptures the higher the universe the more powerfull the volumes are,and no words are in them they become music and light, these holy scriptures are guarded by eckmasters,so i am not reading from an ordinary book about how life began here,no book on this physical universe can be compared to the shariyat ki sugmad it as the information of how life began and the many processes but i am not gonna go into too much u would have to visit the website of eckankar and try and get this book and see the creation of life of how it began and how it is gonna end here,i am just gonna give u a bit of it,so iam gonna give u a piece from the shariyat instructed by the creator that i should because u wanted to know, this is chapter 4,page 50,THE SEA was the cradle of life the power of the eck energies formed the complex union of molecules and built a cell of life.the tenacious hold on life of the molecule for existence caused it to wed with others and make a complex entity with tendencies of reaction and response to its environment, the power to move in the water and seek food and protection.the masses of molecules develop into protozoa and finally into vegetation of the sea, after millions of years into plants, sponges and flowers of the watery depths.minerals develop in the same form on the land surfaces, but the first form that started evolving toward human embodiment was the fish, the law of eck moved again in its very mysterious way and saw the need of organs and faculties in these creatures, some became aggressive, feeding upon those which only had vegetation and plants of the sea for survival, intelligence came to the creatures of the sea.simple as it was,it gave those without protection the only means of escape from the devouring jaws of the beast that swallowed unwary fish the size and speed of these scourges of the sea grew, developing appetites without parallel.they became sires of the shark, whale, and other mammoth monsters of the deep.some of these strange creatures came out of the sea to find easier prey, for a million years this saga went on,with the sea born and the sea living moving from the water to land, creatures with gills and paddles develop lungs and legs in time, many walked on hind feet, rearing in the air with crocodile heads and gleaming teeth, into the dark dank jungles they went searching for food.and it goes on and on if u want to know more, get the books, visit the website it tells of creation of the heavens before the physical universe was created, trust me nothing in the bible about creation,is truly about creation, get the shariyat ki sugmad if u do want to know more about creation.may the blessings be

This probably has to be one of the hardest questions to answer! I guess I'm speaking as someone that does not belong to any established religion. I'm more inclined to go along with the scientists who have clearly proven that we originated from the apes, well they have found lots of evidence in the form of very old ape like skulls and fossils. There were definitely dinasours that roamed the Earth once upon a time as well. I don't believe that we came into existence out of nothing! Someone or something put us here and I cannot explain what who that might be. I know that something is going on for sure that we clearly don't understand. I find this discussion a very difficult one to contribute to but it's a good discussion all the same. Andrew

I don't belong to any religion but like to participate in your discussion. Your prime question is "How life started on earth?". If base on theology explanation, absolutely there are many answers for it because there are many religions in this world. Make more worse, every religion claimed theirs is the right one. But, all of the theology answers based on Adam and Eve as the first living thing on earth. Compare between theology and scientific answers, definitely very contrary. Why? If we calculate the years from Adam and Eve era of time it won't reached million years. Whereas, according to scientific research dinosaurs occupied the earth already 600million years. So, in this case I have to reject both 'theory' type of answers neither theology nor scientific. MY CONCLUSION for How life started on earth? I believe in energy theory, energy property is neither be created nor destroyed but it can be transformed. Without energy there will be now life. So, in answering your question specifically for "How?", life started on earth from the transformation of the ultimate energy. It can be transformed to anything including a human.

This questions is actualy not anyore complex than the concepts one would learn in a semester or two of and evolutionary bio course and chem speicfically ochem courses. From there its just a matter of connecting the dots which hundreds of years of the scientific process by some of the most brillant mind has done for us. While people of all religion should be welcome to this discussion there is really no place for a religious explination to this question. Scientist have the facts and continue to gain more facts that support the theroy( of evolution(which for all intensive purposes functions as a principle but would cause too much controversy if scientist started calling it the principle of evolution). Soon when scientist come to a conclusion of HOW evolution happned (the details) I have no doubt that it will differ from how we think of it today. But thats the beauty of the scientifc process it has room to be wrong and actually grow from such mistakes. So to answer your question if you want to know how life started on earth read an evolutionary biology textbook and that will give you a pretty good idea of how it actually happned. From there just wait around for better mroe advanced textbooks to be wrtitten and you'll gain an even better understanding.

I am of no religion; I am an atheist. Am I allowed to participate? I don't think anyone can really be certain how life started on earth. I don't think any intelligent individual can legitimately deny the 'truth' of evolution, but that only explains how life developed. I favour the primordial soup theory, but scientists have also suggested that (very simple) life was brought to the Earth on comets. The idea that a great big God in the sky created life on earth is about as likely - probably less likely - than the idea that we are all computer simulations in some all-powerful alien teenager's uber-sim. But not on X Box; that'd be lame.

In case that people who don't follow religions are welcome into this discussion, I'll participate too. The Earth needed millions of years to become into an enviroment where living forms could live. When the water setteled, small organisms in water appeared, and that's the beginning of life forms. Those organisms evolved to adapt to the environment, and that's why there's so much diversity in species now.

I also believe what is presented in chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis as the most scientifically accurate explanation. God made us in his image but unfortunately most of us don't live up to that. We could if we wanted to but most of us don't care to.

God is much smarter than people realize. Having vast knowledge of the complex, God created the universe with a bang. The universe unfolds into what we have today just like a seed grows into a tree. That's not all. It unfolds in such a way that how it happened can be discovered. Man is working on this everyday. This is the physical world. God is much smarter than people realize. We are all spiritual beings in our true natures. We are placed in our physical bodies after birth. As you can see, things are never simple. Lots for us all yet to discover.

Hello Umer and welcome to my lot. It says in the bible (king James version) that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and all the people on it. God created everyone and everything. That is how the world began.
