Is there a way to find out if a message that you sent has been read yet or not? I sent a message last night and haven't yet received a response and I believe it is because theu have yet to be online but I was wondering if there was a way that i could find out if the letter I wrote has been read yet or not. I know with sites like myspace that you can go in under your messages and it will show as read or unread and while I haven't seen any thing like this with facebook I was just windering if anyone else knows a way you can see whether it is read....Thanks

The only way that I ever know if someone has read the messages that I have sent to them via Facebook is when the recipient of the messages that I have sent take the time to write me back. Then, I know that they are read. However, other than that, I haven't figured out a way to find out the status of the messages that I've sent to my friends on Facebook. If it is something that is not available on Facebook, it is definitely and upgrade that they need to make.

I was snooping around and found the help button(which I know i should of look for first but didn't) but I found a FAQ that says that once the message is sent that there is no way of "tracking" it so I guess that I will just have to wait until they respond....and it would definitely be something I would suggest as an upgrade. thanks for your response dorannmwin

No, Facebook doesn't have that feature. I've been a member there for a long time and there have been times when I've wondered if my step-son read my message or not...since he didn't respond or show up to pick up his mail or do what it was I asked him to do.

Alright well I have had four response all with them saying no so I guess that is my answer LOL Thanks for your response and help spalladino.

I don't think facebook has this feature or not that I know of.
But anyway, you can always contact them and suggest to have it
Though it may take time for them to respond, but for sure, you will have your issue resolved or even not, at least, you would know if there really is or none.

It would be a nice feature to add although sometimes I don't like that other places have that feature because then if I don't want to respond to a message right away or at all for that matter than they can see that I have read and am taking my time or not responding...is there any way just I can have it and be able to see but not have anyone see when or if I read theirs LOL...now that would be nice.
