When I got really bored, I play games on the phone. But some say that it can destroy its function. Do you think it's true? Why would they put games if it can? I'm confused :(

Hi again :)!!
M a total cell phone gaming addict and once I used to spend hours playing on my cellphone.I own a Sony Ericsson k750i which allows java games and there are over more than 1000 games on the internet for k750i( you can search for it :) ).I also have a PSP so if the current goes off its me with either the PSP or the cellphone lol.Now as my cellphone is 3 years old and due to gaming continuously on it its keypad and joystick are out of order :( so now I play games on my PSP.My mom and dad are completely against the games as due to continuous pressing the keypad you fingers get sore( I had experienced that and had got a peace of mind from my parents ).The cellphone companies provide games as they entertain you when you have some free time or when you are on an outing. You can listen to songs or play games so that you don't get bored. But its true that excessive use of anything is bad, that applies to gaming as well.If you spend hours on gaming you tend to waste your time as well as it affects your health. Its upto us to have a control on ourself and to know whether gaming is affecting our health or time, the cellphone companies can't do much about our self control lol.Ultimately I would still say enjoy gaming lol!!

Owww...Pingpong! I like snake, car racing, building city and tennis. I play them with different phones. I use my dad's and my sister's phone most of the time. And they get really mad when the battery is low due to my extensive usage!

Hehe. I like everything you said. I hope my phone won't get broken as to my extensive use in games. But then, you're right, I must limit it... Thanks for your response. I hope you'll continually enjoy gaming too! Godbless

I love playing games on my phone specially when I feel bored. I think It will not destroy it's function but it shortens the battery life when I used it for playing so I need to recharge it again. I've been using my phone for about 9 months now, still nothing has changed. It still works perfectly fine.

Ow. that's good. I can see that. It's my problem too. When I use the phone for playing games, the battery gets empty easily. I hope there will be a remedy for that.

When I still have no computer before i am fond of playing games in my cellphone. Nowday I rarely do as i am playing most games in facebook, sims, miniclip games and other videos games with fine graphics. I think depending on the frequency of your used anything which is abuse may end up being damage but as long as you know to control your uses in playing games it would minimize the risk of damages.

It's been a long time since I've played games on my cell phone. I used to do it all the time when I worked at the hospital and there would be very long hours when there wasn't a lot of work that had to be done. Plus, my old cell phone had some decent games on it. Now, my phone doesn't really have any good default games and besides that I don't really have time to play games on the phone. When I did use the phone for games, I never noticed a change in the function of the phone.

Yeah... Playing games on the phone is really good when you are not that busy. Because it can also consume most of your time, especially when you are enjoying, you won;t be able to notice that you've wasted so much of your time in playing games. Aww..

I think it has something to do with the memory of the phone. Just make sure that you have enough memory left so your cellphone would still function normally. When I was still in to playing mobile games, I've got many games installed on my phone, it ate up a lot of my storage so my phones functions became slower. I deleted most of the games and my phone went back to normal.

Oh... Now I see the point. I don't actually understand it before---why the phone has to slow down... Thanks for letting me know why!

yup! i do, i play games on my mobile phone if i'm wating somebody and i don't nothing to do or nothing to read, it doesn't necessary destroy some application in your mobile phone, it depends in the capacity (memory) of your mobile, if you have limited capacity and your playing games that needed to record your name and score, you will might have problems, it gets hang-up with the application, plus it eat ups a lot of power when your playing games..

Yes, I also play games on my phone, but my phone is actually very very old, and therefore it only has a bad and uncool version of snake on it. But anyway, I often feel guilty afterwards because I think that I should be doing something more productive like posting on mylot instead.
But anyway, no, I do not think that it destroys the functioning of the phone. What I think is that by destroying the function, people mean that you are not using the phone for its main purpose (in this case communication), and only playing games on it instead. But I don't think you would do that. :)

Haha.. Maybe these people noticed that I play too much! Hey, I like the snake too! But I don't like the same game on latest Nokia models now. I love the simplier version..
