My psoriasis is soo dry so i have put baby oil on it to keep it moist trying to stop it from cracking even more.I am so fed up of this skin complaint as it gets worse if i am stressed as well as i am ill.Right now it is getting worse alot quicker than it would normally.

One of my girlfriends has psoriasis really bad. She is taking some kind of injections once a week. The medication is actually used primarily to treat arthritis, but it has been proven to clear up psoriasis as well. Her arms and legs look SO much better than they did prior to the injection treatments.

Did you know that psoriasis can be inherited? It can. Cold weather makes the symptoms worse. Certain medicines make the symptoms worse. Here is one link that is very informative: http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/psoriasis/psoriasis-what-increases-your-risk And this is another good one: http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/psoriasis/psoriasis-cause

I think that winter is tough on everyone's skin, whether they have psoriasis or not. I've noticed that my skin is getting very dry and painful at this point as well. This is the time of the year that I am using a lot more lotion than I do during other parts of the year. I will also take a pot of water and boil it away on the stove in the kitchen so to get some moisture back in the house because it seems to me that when the furnace is running there is not very much humidity in the house at all. These are some things that seem to help my very dry skin.

Aloe vera is the solution to this problem. If you can get hold of fresh leaves of this plant then that is the best. You need to cut open the leaf and apply the sap. Else you get the gel in tubes. Go for it. You must have heard of Forever Living Products of USA. I have faith in these products.

.....Hi jugsjugs, I would call a health food store and see what they would recommend for your condition. I am sure there is some natural product that could give you relief. I have heard that aloe vera is good for the skin and for irritations of the skin, please look into that if you would. Hope that it clears up and goes away very soon. Take care of yourself. Vitamin E cream should be good as well.

I can understand that you are from a very bad phase. As per my opinion you should go to a skin specialist doc. It is the only way to get rid off you skin problems. Hope this will work for you.
