can an employee be fired for posting pictures of himself in facebook?

if something that have to do with work i think they can or should specaily if its something sensitive. but if not then no. but sadly they do fire people over pictures from myspace and facebook. this is why my daughter dont keep anyone on her friends list from work

Yes it can because it was done in the workplace when Im guessing he was supposed to be working. My advice to you is to tell him to take that picture off facebook ASAP to avoid any conflict or any problems! This has happened to someone I know, they worked at the hospital though and they were playing the 'lying down game', while at work. Bad thing to do

hi bart78 Yes he really could get fired as that is going way too far. If the employer wanted to, he could let him go for opening the sensitive part of the office into a public display.He had best delete that as soon as he can. what a stupid idea to do that in the first place.

hello there bart, It's totally against company rules to take pictures inside the office most specially if it's in the call center. i remember us being reminded when still in training that taking pics inside the office is a NO-NO. any one caught is confiscated by the guard or the staff. gladly am no longer working in that company that i have actually post some of those pics in another social network site, and it has set on private

I think that he could be fired but that doesn't mean he will be. If i was your friend and my boss questioned me about it I'd tell my boss it was a mistake and that i would do it again and i would also take the picture down asap!
