I try to reuse everything I possible can, and I use the prescription containers to store small things like buttons, hair pins etc. I was just curious if anyone else reuse the bottles if so what do you use them for.

Yes I reuse my prescription bottles. I am just getting into the arts and crafts of making jewelry and they come in handy for keeping these small items I use for this craft. I also use them for the same things you mentioned since I am also trying to get back into sewing again. I have a lot of buttons and with these bottles I can now separate them by color and be able to find the right ones without having to go through them all.I bet there are a dozens of things these bottles can be used for if we just think about it long enough, and best of all they are free.

I have saved a couple of prescription bottles and used them to store buttons in one and also used one to store my needles for making crafts. They are also good for storing beads or other small items that I use for making a project. They work well for storage since the tops don't open that easily.

Also is a good idea for holding change.

I throw some of them in the recycling bin, but I have 3 different prescriptions that I take on a regular basis so I couldn't possibly keep every bottle. I do keep bottles for things like peppermints. I have a medicine bottle of peppermints in my purse and one in my winter coat pocket. I always need peppermints for when my stomach gets upset. I have IBS so I never know when I will need peppermints. I also keep a container of Vitamin C in my purse for when my throat starts to hurt. I have also used the larger bottles for shampoo for travelling. Those safety lids ensure that the bottles won't open during travel, but I still put them inside a baggy just in case.

Hi. That's a good practice. I'm don't normally re-use small prescription bottles. I usually give them for free to persons pushing carts around the community to buy old newspapers and bottles.
