It will be on 12/15 if I don't pay my water bill! I did pay my water bill on November 8th through Walmart's checkless system! I thought it was paid until I got home a week ago and found a noctice telling me to pay up or have my water discontined! I did some research and found out my payment was sent out but it never got to the water department! That is what the watwer company said! Walmart found out my payment was denied and the water company says no it wasn't! So know I have to back to Walmart get a refund on my money and then get a money order to pay the water company! Thbis has never happen beore and it will never happen again! I will send out money orders to the water company from now on so to avoid this crap!

HI,
well... sound like you are in the USA. So why you have to use wal mart checkless system? you can pay directly at water company through online, or mail, or authorized bill pay. It will be safe if you do directly with water company website. or call them to have them charge directly from your bank account. All you have to do is deposit the money in the bank.

if you dont want to use your check then you call the water company to ask where you can pay ? they will tell your the authorized bill pay of water company and there is no charge

Good thing you're able to get this whole thing taken care of. It's no fun to have something you need is in limbo. I just pay my bills either online, through the acutal bill "person," or through Checkfree.

Hi, blue65packer. I don't understand this at all. If you paid, then you should have proof of your payment that was sent. Do you have anything written on your bill receipts? You should not have to go to Walmart to get a refund just so that you will have to pay back the water company. If the water company says that your payment was not denied then they should be able to trace some kind of statement saying that you paid. From now on when paying any kind of bill, just use an money order to avoid any kind of mix up. People are good for saying that you don't pay something when you know that you did. I hope that you get this all straightened out. Walmart need to have more accurate receipts when you pay through their checkless system.
It seems to me that it is Walmart's fault. And it is not fair that you will have to submit payment back to the water department. And if your water gets turned off then it is all Walmart's fault! Your water company should be willing to work something out with you so that you won't have to pay again and then they can reinstate your water services for free. Sine this was not your fault.

It wasn't my fault and it was really Walmart's! This happen to a number of people and finally they decided to stop trying to pay the water bills of people the checkless way! They should of thought of this alot soon so I would not of had to go through this bull! I still will do this with my cable, phone and electric! I have no problems paying them that way!

Wow that is crazy that happened. I never go to places like HEB and Wal Mart to pay water bills. I guess for the fact in that happening. We always just go directly to the water place or mail it as you have done. Its just more safer that way, but then unless your water bill money order was lost in the mail, but you can always just report it lost. But still that is just so messed up.
