Aint nothing wrong with being bald!

Okay, are you bald? Going bald? If so, have you or will you admit it? Or deny it? Shave it? Or cover it up? I can understand to a degree if someone wanted to deny being bald, as if I lost my hair, I would be horrified! But when I see a man with a toupee, or a comb-over (especially a comb-over) I just wanna shake em and say "you're going bald, admit it,embrace it!" No hair is far sexier than terrible hair!! There are some sexy baldies! Do you think bald can be beautiful? Can you name some gorgeous bald fellas I've got two of the top of my head Yul Brynner and Patrick Stewart. Or are you one of those people that covers it all up and pretends it's not happening?

I suffer from a certain degree of hair loss due to long hours of work, improper eating habits (ate a lot of junk foods, fast foods), and insufficient rest when in my previous job. Fortunately I have changed to a new job now with lesser stress and stable working hours that I was able to take better care of my health. I have revamped my dietary habits and would go for exercise frequently. Surprisingly my hair loss was curbed and I did not lose as much hair as in the past. My scalp was also returning to normal, not like last time, an oily and itchy scalp which aggravate the hair loss. I believe for men the male hormones play an important part in promoting hair growth or hair loss, so it is important to look after our health to get our body into balance again. No, I won't wear a toupee or whatever artifact to conceal the areas with lesser hair, as it is a wate of time and doesn't do anything good to the scalp. For me I am not in the least bothered with my appearance due to the balding. I believe if I continue to be optimistic, cheerful about life, it will do more good to my health and hair. If we've won in ourselves, then no matter what others might think, it'll not affect us.

I'm like you in that i wish men who try to hind their baldness would just be honest about it - after all, it's not as if it's an uncommon thing. I think a toupee or a comb-over looks ridiculous and the guys would look a lot less ridiculous if they just let nature take its course.

They would indeed!

Man do you know the pain of balding. If you are bald, you will know it. It is very easy to say that there are sexy baldies like Yul Brynner, and to day you can also add Vin Diesel to that list. But not all bald people can be sexy and handsome as them.Do you know that in the eighties, scientists started a big research on balding and they would have also found the remedy or medicine for this, but for the fact, that only in the 80's AIDS was at its peak, and all the research money was given to aids. Otherwise today, we might have got a cure for baldness.

Like I said, I don't know how it feels. I didn't know about the AIDS thing though!

I agree with you. Bald can be incredibly attractive. Toupees or hair weaved aren't too bad, if they at least match what used to be there. We've all seen people with toupees that watch what used to be there...20 years ago. Not a pretty site. Comb overs are just something to laugh at, especially on a windy day. Who the heck came up with the silly idea that they looked good? Maybe a hair spray company? If some one feels good about themselves, including their baldness, it is just plain sexy.

Exactly! I dunno who started that cruel rumour!

Me, myself am not bald although I have many of my friends who are bald. My friends don't mind them being called "Baldy!" they infact like it for all the attention that they're getting. 1/4 of my bald friends normally cover it up with a cap whenever they go out to a club or watch a movie and stuff. My other friends have considered trying natural hair growth, pretty weird, but true and I always respect what they say and the things they do, especially the way they look. I've seen many people who are really worried about their baldness, and it's not the first time I was walking on a pavement and noticed a piece of hair (wig) fly right into my face from a man walking in front of me. The man was very embarresed, and was upset.

I haven't gotten to the 'chrome dome' state just yet but the recession is obviously in cahoots with the bald spot and they will be meeting up shortly..my attitude?..Oh well..As it stands, at 57, I've kept my hair (such as it is) longer than the other males in the family so I'm ahead of the genetics. The only vanity aspect of it is the corkscrew (thinning) ponytail. As for getting to chrome dome, when it happens, folks'll need find something else to fuss at me about.. Enjoy!

HA! I'm sure people will find something else to fuss you about!

Does it really matter in you are going bald? To me, it is just the same as if a man has hair. Actually, better, because having no hair is way more hygienic than having any hair at all... so in a way, it is very good. :) But then, I suppose I can't say anything about it. I'm not one of those people going bald anyway. :P

Exactly I think you can never know unless you go there!
