When you were growing up did your mom snoop through your bedroom?

My mom did and I really didn't like it! She invaded my privacy! Then she lied when I confronted her! I knew she had been in my room more then once and there always evidence she had been in my bedroom! I wasn't hiding anything but my privacy was stolen! It got worse! She started looking through the trash can in my room and my mail! She didn't stop it after I talked to her! I had a darn lock on my the bedroom door. It didn't work and my dad refused to get it fixed! It got to the point I went and got a mail box at the local post office so my mail was not coming to my parents home! I also dumped my trash can myself and made sure all was burnt in the wood furnace so my mom couldn't have a chance to spy on me! Since I have been on my own I take my privacy seriously! When it get invaded I do get very upset! Luckily that has only happened like twice!

I am sharing bedroom with my mom, and there was never a time I remeber that she spy on me... She was really not like that. Well, I think because she was very occupied with her work and it is really not her type at all... She doesn't even ask us about our love lives... but she listens if we opened up... Personally, I don't know how it feels for I did not go through that but honestly I know that it is irritating somehow... as if your mom doesn't trust you fully... Well then at least she stopped doing that...

I think my mom stopped doing the snooping when I moved out! I guess she either didn't trust me or she didn't anything else better to do! I really don't know!

Well maybe it is not the "trusting". Maybe she just want to know everything about you, for she misses the days when you were younger... Maybe she doesn;t mean anything about it at all... Just wanted to be updated or something...

Yes my Mum did and it used to annoy me to but she would not make a big Secret of it and she would say that she did as she thought as a Mother she had a right to she always used to find my Make up and throw it away I never used to do that to my Children as I knew what it felt like and would not have done it to them

If I had kids I would never do that! After my experience I wouldn't put them through what I was put through!

I really do not know if my mom went through my room or not. I really don't think she did. I know she did go through my younger sisters room at times though because some things were missing and mom did find them in there.

I don't know if my mom did this to my sister or my brothers. When she left evidence she was in my room and then denied it when I confronted her that wasn't right!

I dont think my mom snooped through but then she was always welcomed to look through my room because I didnt have anything to hide .Its sad to know that your mom keeps invading your space like that .It can only mean that the relationship will only get worse .It would have been better if she asked you and not go behind your back.I think though that you should try as best as you can to mend the relationship between your mom

Nope that was my Dad's job. He not only went through everything he would smoke what he found...lol real punishment! Nah, he would find whatever and burn it. We would get a whoopin and that was the end of it. I never really kept much in the house that I needed to worry about, I was to smart for that. I kept it else where. It was never a secret though that he would be doing so. It was annoying but I guess it was just life because it didn't really start that much trouble in our home.

I don't hear to many stories of fathers going through their kids rooms! If my dad did that I first would be in shock! Then I would be extremely mad! He just wasn't the person to do stuff like your dad did!
