Letting people out of side turnings or letting them go first at junctions

Do you ever find yourself giving other drivers right of way just so that they wave & brighten your day or am I the only saddo Billy-no-mates on here?? Actually,I do it because I am a genuinely nice person (up to you whether you believe that one ) but its still nice to get a gesture of thanks. I dont hold back for people who try to force their way out though.

I do it all the time, it's pretty common where i live though, we're a courtious lot. What i can't stand are those who sboslutely have to get in front of you or can't be behind anyone else, god forbid the arrive someplace 5 seconds later. People are becomming so impatient and inconsiderate.

I love it when they go roaring past and then I just coast in behind them when they have to stop for the red light. Better yet are those who sit beside me at the lights edging forward and revving and intending to cut in front of me..... the lights change ..... and they stall - PRICELESS!!!

Hi wizzywig, I have to say that there really isn't a lot of giving way done over here, it's definitely more a case of everyone pushing in. There's one place I sometimes need to pull out of in town which is invariably chocker with a line of traffic as it has to go over a railway line before a red light. That is when I take advantage of being a woman and get myself waved into the line of traffic.

Naturally. Most of the drivers over here are men and you know how a smile works.

If it's close and I'm not really sure who was first, I will let the other person go. And if a person pushes forward and goes anyway, I don't fight about it (just mutter a few things under my breath). I never argue with anybody who gives me the right of way either.

I wouldn't put myself in any danger by trying to either get ahead or keep ahead but I feel more inclined to let the "nice" people go first

Except the nice people aren't the ones who push in front like that...
