For those who deny the Biblical god. I am curious to know your reasons for denying. in my case, I feel that this god is too cruel and insensitive. I cannot accept such a person as a deity. And I also feel that the Bible does not answer any single logical question.

Because it's just plain madness! The bibical God has many of the same traits as many other stories of God from before it's time, the bible just wrapped them all up into one tidy pile to write them into the bible. Of course, Christians today don't believe in that God as much as they believe in the New Testament God, which is quite different from the Qur'an God, or the Latter day saints God, and way different then the Hindu gods or Buddhist lack thereof. How can anyone possibly believe in these rants coming from all over the place? How can they go along with one, but deny all the rest? If you ask me, thats just plain madness.

First and foremost I do believe in god, just not in anything I regard as equal to or below myself in strength, intelligence etc.. the principle reason I do not believe Jesus is a god is exactly the reason that he is just a man regardless how he was born and how wonderful he was. I cannot believe a man can be god no matter how hard I try, it's just not possible for a man to be such an invincible power that commands the entire universe. Although I do believe Jesus was one of the very few good men that has ever walked the face of this planet, I can say that without a doubt in my mind. The stories in the bible are simply inaccurate, altered and illogical, but 99% of it does teach very good morals for all humans, that is what ultimately matters. I mean I do accept that side of the bible that teaches people to be good, but the 'miracles' are baseless and beyond fantasy and used to scare people from comitting crimes that's all... however it's rather fun to read... just don't take everything seriously, use your own brains, don't get brain washed... I mean after all the person who wrote the bible you are reading today is not words of god but people (humans like you and me) that wrote them. Bishops and priests etc are NOT perfect people themselves, many priests are known to abuse those that respect most: we hear stories of child abuse. Imagine what other lies and abuse such men and even women could have done against those that believe whatever they say? However, I am certainly not saying that Christanity is wrong it is after all one of the religions that has done more good than bad, we know there are bad people that harm the relgions reputation but that doesn't happen to Christanity alone. Just becareful and try to be respectful to Christians and their beliefs even if you personally don't believe them.

In all honesty, there is no purpose in my life for such a being. And I can't believe that ANY higher power would be so self absorbed and vicious as to encourage hatred and to expect ppl to deny themselves their true being and such..

There's no empirical evidence for the existence of a Biblical god. That's really what it comes down to. A person can argue until they're blue in the face that one exists, but at the end of the day, it's because they choose to have faith in that existence, not because there's solid evidence for one.
