Here are some eighties movies that I ADORE:
1.) Back to the Future
2.) Pretty in Pink
3.) The Labyrinth
4.) Ferris Bueller's Day Off
5.) Stand by Me
6.) The Breakfast Club
Those are just a few I can think of off the top of my head. There are plenty of good 80's movies though! It was such a good time for movies (unlike these days).

I still love 80's movies. You are right. Now they seem low budget and silly, but they are still good movies. It is pretty neat to see how much technology has changed over the years. I'm sure 20 years from now, the movies we watch now will look just as bad. There was something magical in the 80's. It seemed to be a happy time. I think the movies from that time portray that.

I can't say I like them all that much, I like movies from the 50's the most but they are so different from the movies we have today.

I certainly love watching oldies. I used to be a movie addict in those years, going to the movie theatres atleast three times a week. That's my favorite way of relaxztion and getting rid of the stresses of the day. I don't get the time these days to go to movie theatres. I just have to sit in front of the TV and watch the movies. That's where I have been watching the oldies !

I'll watch a few of them, the acting was really bad and cheesy. I will not watch anything with John Cryer in it though, that guy is too much of a wimp to even matter in his role.

Hi ladym33,
Some of the low budget 80's movies we're the best if you ask me, now a days they spend millions of dollars on one movie. I love "Back To The Future", "The Breakfast Club" and "Sixteen Candles". I'm sure there are a few more I like but those are my favorites that come to mind. I just watched "Back To The Future" this past weekend and it brought back a lot of childhood memories considering I use to watch the movie all the time growing up as a kid in the 90's. "The Breakfast Club" was low budget you can tell it was but it was very funny and a great story and I'm sure a lot of high school kids could relate to having detention in school. I wish some of the movies from today we're as good as some of the older movies, don't get me wrong I love new movies but some of the older ones we're classics and will be remembered forever.

I really love some of the 80's movies. A couple of star wars films were made in the 80's. The main stream teen 80's movies get really old to me, so I would say that they are pretty boring now.
