i am shocked! i saw a tv commercial for ebay here in Canada that was as follows:
a guy gets a pair of mitts that have been lovingly knitted by an older lady (a grandmother?) and the guy tosses them and announces 'its NOT the thought that counts...buy gifts on ebay."
well i am sorry ebay, but i will not be buying anything from there to line your pockets this Christmas!

ouch! I knitted many of my gifts this year, and I hope the kids I gave them to liked them. (I know the younger ones did, even though the style was more for older kids).

I think that is absolutely disgusting, that announcement should be pulled for sure.

Well that's not nice is it. I guess eBay wants you to buy instead of give, hmmm, could they be begging for business?

To me the height of commercialism is watching a commercial telling me to buy a Korean to celebrate American Presidents Day.
