Are You Going To Have A White Christmas?

Yesterday morning when I went to work it was raining. Then around 4pm it hit! Snow came down so quickly that it was taking people 2 hours to get about 15 min on normal days down the road. I almost got stuck at work and then I looked up and my wonderful hubby who I will never doubt his love for me pulled into our parking lot. So we made it home safely and I'm sitting here now with about 1 foot of snow outside. I checked on line this morning to see what the following weeks weather was going to be. More snow today, more snow tomorrow then finally stopping on Monday. So we have snow now but get this. Friday it's going to rain! What the heck. It could have waited a few more days and then we could have had a beautiful white Christmas. Have any of you checked to see what Christmas day is going to be where you live? Are you going to get the white stuff or are you going to look like summertime? I can't wait to hear from all of you and I want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!! May santa be good to you and may you be surrounded by friends and family.

I have seen on TV about all the snow you are getting in various places.
There is no hope of me getting snow here. I live in southern australia, and it will probably be hot on christmas day.
Im glad you have a loving husband. My ex and I separated 6 weeks ago.

I'm sorry to hear about you and your ex. You had posted a comment in another discussion I started and I just posted back asking if you were having problems. Now I understand. Splitting up at any time is hard but right before Christmas must make it even harder. Try to stay positive. I know that seems impossible right now but things do seem to always happen for a reason. We may not always understand the reasoning at that time but in the future we can look back and say, ok maybe that's why. Sometimes what may seem like the worst thing that could happen ends up being the best. Keep close with your friends and family right now. Don't shut yourself off, I'm sure there is lots of support for you if you'll just accept it. We are friends here on Mylot so if you ever need to just talk to someone pm me. Sometimes it's easier to talk to a person you've never met. Remember that and know I'm here. Try to have a good holiday hon. Keep the faith.

You're lucky to have such a loving husband who takes care of you like that!
As for a white Christmas? Well, my dear, I haven't had a white Christmas since 1985 and, believe me, I don't miss it! LOL!
I do remember the hazardous driving (I don't drive myself)conditions. For the life of me I can't remember how I even walked on all those slippery sidewalks full of ice. I took to wearing men's work boots in the winter because they were the only things that had enough traction for the ice. It was crazy. I had my share of spills too!
Take care and stay safe.

I am very lucky! I still can't believe he got out in that mess just to get me home! He said that if we were going to be stuck then we were going to be stuck together. I keep thinking of this song, can't remember the name but it says "what kind of love makes you go out in the wind and the driving rain". In Feb we celebrate our 20years, I'm thinking most couples after that long would be thinking, yea a night alone, lol. I used to live in Fl. and at times like this wish I still did. I am a snow chicken. Get behind me driving in snow and you'd think I was a little old lady, lol. Merry Christmas and enjoy your weather!
