thanks to the Nor'easter of 2009 and some are already closing down for the rest of the week. Has yours, if you are effected by the snow?
Our county will probably wait until tomorrow morning like they always do. I applaud the government officials of these counties that take the incentive early so parents can make arrangements for daycare.

This happened at exactly the right time... depending on how many days are allotted for schools to close (and they are all different) the kids should have the rest of the week off.... Firstly better to be safe than sorry, secondly to actually have time with family (I remember when I went to school I had two weeks before and two weeks after for Christmas Break).
Although this Nor'easter may be a pain the butt for a lot of people (those at AIRPORTS uugghh) I think in this case it is a blessing in disguise.
Thanks

Oh I agree with you Zeloguy. I know our county does not allott for snow days, schools use to do that when I was a kid, now they just tack them on at the end of the year.
It has been nice being home but the kids have been stuck, so it hard for me to get any wrapping done.
Thanks for the response.
Merry Christmas.

hi kimbers687 well since I live in southern ca and we have no snow at all and little rain, the poor kids never get an extra
holiday as no schools are ever closed except in the fall because of the wild fires getting very close to some schools.

It's nice that we have these snow days but then we do have to go longer in the summer. Hopefully since we were under a state of emergency the super of education will let one day slide.
We just learned that we are off tomorrow also. My DH took this week off also before we had the snow event - little did he know the whole family would be home, I am a substitute teacher.
We were in Southern CA in the fall of 2007 and we loved it.
Thanks for the response.
