I am a cat lover too and I admit I don't love dogs as much as felines but this video was so cute I had to share it. Eggnog is not bad is it? I have not had any for years...Must do something about that! Have a good holiday Alice all the best to you and thanks for responding!

I love eggnog, but I love advocat and lemonade even more! They used to sell it in small bottles and probably stll do, ready mixed and appropriately named snowballs

Hi Alice, hope things are going fine your way..my parents found them a place and moved out their stuff a few days ago..now I will just have to go help them put everything away..but I am glad that things are looking up for them right now.. Mom says Hi.

Advocat is basically the same as eggnog, made with brandy, eggs and sugar I believe you call brandy bourbon across the water? correct me if I'm wrong.

I have not had eggnog in years and to be honest, I can't remember if I love it or not and, as far as I know it can be alcoholic...I know I don't dislike it! Hi Alice. Bourbon, huh? I used to LOVE bourbon! Geez, guess I had the wrong kind of eggnog all those years ago when I decided I don't especially care for it. Maybe, if it had had bourbon in it, I would LOVE the stuff! LOL

Aha! Rum!! Thank you so much BarBara! Hmmm, I've had rum and liked it so I think I might have liked eggnog if I had tasted some with rum in it. But, seeing as how I can't drink alcohol now because of the severe headaches it gives me (probably because of my medications) I won't be trying it with rum or bourbon or anything else.

But, thanks for clearing that up. In the back of my head, bourbon just didn't seem right but I wasn't going to fret over it. Now, I know it's rum so I won't sound stupid if anyone ever asks me what eggnog is spiked with. LOL

I think different countrie use different spirits, but I'm sure it's basically the same...spirit, eggs and some add vanilla or honey. All I know is it's yummy

Thanks, Alice. You've made me want to try making some myself instead of buying it already made. Most homemade stuff tastes much different and much better than store-bought. I'll have a go at it and let you know how it turns out.

As everybody knows I adore cats but I have a dog too and she is lovely. Dogs are so loving and loyal. You will love the video if you like dogs, very cute! Eggnog is a traditional Christmas drink, as far as I know,. We used to have it at my ex in-laws house on Christmas Eve; I don't think I've had it since but I am considering getting some this year. Our new cat has learnt that the door knob opens the door so he keeps jumping up trying to turn it! They are smart little critters! Thanks for responding!

I feel the same...I had eggnog years ago and I can't remember what it tastes like...I'm glad you enjoyed the video; what a beautiful bunch of clever dogs! it was very cleaver how they made that and, yes, I would imagine a lot of patience was required! I couldn't drink a more than one or 2 glasses of eggnog/advocat as it is, because it's so rich, sweet and creamy, but it's lovely with lemonade
My mum dilutes her vodka so much that she can't taste the the vodka for the cola and because it's not a reasonable strength she drink too much too soon and ends up ...inebriated lol

Same here...I am going to get some today or tomorrow because I realized that I have not had any for years and it will something different this year.
