hi, i am also from Pakistan, newly join this site. Eid Mubarak though it is very late now. and marry Christmas to all. well,as i have read and heard that Jesus was born according to lunar calender just like Muslim dates. but when Christians set their system according to solar calender, they made 25th December, date of birth of Christ.so Christians in every region can celebrate birth on Jesus same time.

Hi Tushavi. As others have pointed out their is no proof that Christ, Messiah, was born on December 25. I don't know how some folk figure July. However, there are some posts on the Internet that point to the sequence of events in Luke 1 and 2. The fact that Zecharias was of the course of Abijah might give a clue. Figuring from the general time of his service in the Temple, the timing of the birth of John the Baptist and Gabriel's announcement to Mary many Bible scholars feel Christ was most like born during, or near the time of, the Jewish feast of the Tabernacles. The time roughly corresponds to our current late September or early October. Most important is that Messiah be "born" so to speak in our hearts.

No it has no biblical backing. Christmas was originally centered around pagan holidays that have to do with winter solstice (December 21st). But as any other day we can choose to spend it how we will.

We do not know the exact date of Jesus Christ's birth. It may be that it was July, or May as some have speculated. We are not told the date of His birth, and perhaps that is just as well, for it is not the date but the event that we celebrate and commemorate with the observance of Christmas. If someone wishes to believe in one date over another, it is not important. It is important only to remember that He was born, and to celebrate that birth. Your English is not bad. Some native speakers don't do as well as you do.

I am not religious but I think I have heard on mylot and watched documentaries that state that the 25th of december has nothing to do with the birth of jesus.
