Christmas cards - did you take and edit your own photos for them?

This year I did . Usually we do some professional pictures and order the cards from the studio, but this year I was VERY slow about it so instead we took the photos at a friends' house and then I edited and uploaded to Walgreens lol. How do you usually do yours? Do you prefer photo cards or plain cards?

This year I actually didn't do any Christmas cards at all. However, for the past several years I have designed my cards myself and had them printed at Wal-Greens. I think that the cards that I've had printed at Wal-Greens are just as nice as the ones that the photo studios will make for you and the price of them is cheaper than the other alternative. I do really prefer to do photo cards as opposed to regular cards because that way all of my friends and family can see how the children have grown.

I agree - I used Walgreens too and they were really cute. I used a mail order place last year, I think vistaprint - and I prefer Walgreens. They were probably 60 cents or so a card, which I think is much better than the average 1.49 of the studio cards. I ordered 4x8 instead of 5x7 because I didn't want to have to wonder if the postage would be enough lol.

LOL! It took suprisingly little time and energy, which is why I did it. I was very late, like I said I didn't get the cards out till the 23rd... or maybe it was Christmas Eve when they actually shipped out from the post office lol. My goal next year is to get the photos done and edited for uploading by the 6th or 7th of Dec.

We took our card from our digital camera and got some pictures off that and made cards for the grandparents.
