successful marriage

Hahahahaha!!You have got to be kidding!!! I think its more like a recipe for disaster than the main ingredient to a successful marriage! Marriage should be a partnership where both parties work together to make a happy life for both partners. No-one should be expected to submit 100% to anyone else - what's the point of having your own life if you give it up to the control of someone else. I think there is so much divorce because some people go into marriage expecting it to always be perfect; some dont take it on as a lifelong commitment; people change over the years and just grow apart; I think there are also people who are more in love with the idea of a big showy wedding than with their partners and, probably, some so-called "celebrities" marry just for the publicity. If people spent as much effort on the marriage as they do on the wedding maybe there would be fewer divorces??
