Are you one of those who loves to go shopping on the day after Christmas to take advantage of the sale prices? Or do you stay as far away from that as you can?

Hi Errolllebvant, well no chance of that as the shops will all be shut today and the sales are only twice a year. I think it is the end of January they start next year. It's certainly worth taking advantage of the discounts then though but no one rushes out for the first day of sales. No one rushes for anything here.

It is usually too crowded in the stores to go shopping on Boxing day, besides the sales are not on the new stuff but on stuff that has been in stock for a while and that they want to get rid of. I do not mind going to get Christmas cards or wrapping paper at half price, but we already got lots of wrapping paper left and we had to buy some cards yesterday, so there was no reason for us to go. Besides we are going to see the Christmas lights this evening.

I like getting the deals on left over stock, I just don't like to get in the traffic and crowds that go with those deals. Hope you enjoy the lights.

We liked the lights, but there were hardly any out and the only place was at two parks, one where you had to pay and one where you had to get out and walk down the paths. The second we could not go to because it was not wheelchair accessible. I guess with the economy and that protecting the earth that some have, that there were not as many Christmas lights as there was years ago. Oh and I hate shopping on Boxing Day, the fear of being squashed and trampled on by mad shoppers does not exactly appeal to me.

To be honest, I hate shopping. I hate crowd. Even if there is a sale because some store are planning to exhaust their products, I do not go for it. December 25, for me it is obvious that many people will go out their houses and go to parks, go to malls to watch movies, go to restaurant, everyone is out. I don't like traffic, I don't like falling in lines for long time. I don't like rush. So I guess I am not the type of person who will go shopping after Christmas. You will find me sleeping for the whole, watching television, reading and eating. I am such a boring person.

Oh my goodness, normally I stay away from them because they are just total insanity, but for some reason, I just didn't think things through this year and went to the mall the day after christmas to yes take advantage of the good deals. The mall was totally packed. Having to manuever around slow walkers because I like to walk fast and get it over with, and since there were so many people, all of the body heat made it very hot in there and I was sweating. Not a fun time at all, and didn't find anything spectacular anyways.

I can think of nothing worse than treking round the shops in all the crowds. My daughter goes but not me.Shopping is bad enough when you need something let alone go for the hell of it.I saw all the people on Tv waiting outside the shops ,they opened the doors and they all stampeded in not for me.

This was the first year I ever went to the store after Christmas. The only reason I went was to keep company with my daughter. She had two 25% coupon off at Old Navy. It took forever to find parking that was the worse part of it. The store was not crowded but there was a long line that went fairly fast, which was good. So I was able to buy underwear and a pretty pink sweatshirt all for $8.50. Great buy. However I won't do that again all because the parking lot was just to much to deal with.

glad you got the good deal, but sounds like the hassle was over the top!
