I like knitting. Many of my children's sweaters, caps and socks are all knit by me only. Now my daughter knits cardigon, stole and many toys like ice cream, small baby dolls, cake, finger cap dolls and so many other types. She learns from the internet. Do you or your spouse know knitting? What all you knit at home?

Ah! That is really great. Then I must come to your house only to meet you and see your hand works. My younger sister is also very much interested in embroidery. I was doing it before marriage. But now I left it.

I know how to knit. I haven't done much with it like I do with crochet. The last few things I remember knitting were small pillows. I made one in country colors for my mom and one in my dad's college colors. I have made knitted squares for coasters too. I want to make a knitted afghan after I finished crocheting my granny square afghan.

I like to knit and I just finished knitting a blanket for my dog. It has been a big project and it has taken me many, many months to finish the blanket. I have used many different colours and I enjoyed knitting it. I might knit another one for my parents' dog, but I haven't decided yet. I learned to knit many years ago, and since that time I have knitted a couple of different things but mostly small things, the blanket was my first big project. I have taught my husband to knit, and he started knitting a butterfly, but he doesn't like knitting that much, he just wanted to try it.

In Tamil language, there is a saying, even theft you learn and forget. It is nice to learn something evenif we are not using it regularly. Blanket knitting is a gigantic project. It needs patience to knit so long. But you feel happy to see the final product.

Hi Aunty,
I don't know knitting. But my Mother and my other aunt knit's very well. They have done many shawls, different kinds of sweaters, phone mats, bed spread, pillow covers etc. My mom had designed a beautiful knitted t-shirt also for me it was very pretty.
Have a great day.

Your mum seems to be very talented. Knitting t-shirt is not an easy job. Learn from her.

I knit. I basically knit whatever I find interesting - right now, I'm taking a break because I did so much Christmas knitting that my wrist hurts.

It is true we get for less price especially from Tibetans who sell in the platforms. But knitting it by us and putting it on our children gives great happiness. What I knit for my son, the sweater my grand son is wearing now.
