New Year party was caught on fire

Last night, we have small gathering for the New year party, mostly friends gather together, and have some drinks and a lot of food on the table. We were in conversation, until the kids rush in and said, the front awning was caught in fire. A friend took a fire extinguisher rush out and spray out the fire instantly. We asked what happen; the kids apologized with shame, they were playing the firework in the front door, and some of the fireworks shot up to roof and the awning caught up the fire. My friends angrily took back all the firework, and command their children ground and sit inside instead of playing outside. What a mess, but luckily everything just fine. Well, that is the fresh start of our new year. Happy New Year everyone!

Hi, felice369. Yes, that is very scary. I am sorry that this happened. I hope that your New Year's was not ruined. That is why I don't really mess with fireworks. I won't let my kids get involved with them either. Last night around 11 p.m. the kids out here were shooting fireworks. They were shooting them so loud until I could hear the loudness of it near my bedroom window. It was like they was just that close to us. It is never safe to shoot fireworks near a door. That is an deadly location to shoot fireworks at. I am glad that your friends took away all of the fireworks. I am also glad that no one got hurt. That is a big relief. Happy New Year, felice369.

Hi cream: I remember that when i was a kid i played with fireworks and nothing happened but i know that it could happened and that i must be considered a lucky person. Fireworks can produce accidents and that would ruined a New year's celebration. Thanks God everything is ok. Thanks for your answer cream. Hope you are having a nice day. Happy New year and keep mylotting. Take Care. -Alvaro.

hi felice wow I am really glad nobody got burned or hurt, and yu got the awning out quickly. they banned fireworks where I am because too many fires had been started by careless handling of the fireworks. One home was burned down last New Years as the people who owned the home were across the USA at their daughters home, and the house next to it was empty. by the time someone saw the flames the whole house was gone . I really felt sorry for the owners who would be coming back to find they had lost everything. At least now the small bad is out of the way it should be a wonderful New Year for you all.

Actually, it was in my friend's house, and the kids were playing outside, and we as adults just keep on socializing indoor. It was also our bad not to keep eyes on those kids as they goofing around outside. At least, when the kids get panic, they quickly come indoor to report the accident. So, we can take action to prevent this happening.

Hello felice my dear, what a terrible start that must have been to your new year but its really the fault of you grown ups as should be more responsible around kids and fireworks. Always try to keep the kids in one part of the field or garden when you let them stay up late but do try to remember that fireworks aren't good for animals and the loud bangs can upset them.
