Do you ever find certain posts that really upset you or anger you? I found one today. It was just the fact that it was pretty judgmental that got me a tad angry. Am I the only one? Have you ever had any posts you saw or participate in ever made you upset in any way, shape, or form? What about the post made you mad?

I can't think of a specific example of what has angered me, but it happens to everyone I think. I have read heated arguements here on mylot. However, I try not to let things I read on this site truely get to me.

I try to take a deep breath and just realize it is just a few or one other person's opinion, and that their opinions shouldn't change my whole life. It is still annoying and at times makes me want to smack people because of their stupidity. I guess I shall get over it, but it still doesn't get rid of the annoyance.

I have encountered an arguement with an old guy who seems don't understand my point. He always keeps on correcting me without reading what I have said it really irritated me. There is a point that he just repeated what I have said and I asked "You are now agreeing with me" then he said that he isn't. He is so stupid that it got to my nerves. If someone said it is an opinion then it is an opinion and don't argue with it. Better suggest and not argue :D
On my anger, I didn't replied him anymore and rated all his post as negative LOL :D Anyway, he is not that active that is why he don't know how to respect people :D

I am lucky to have not met anyone that ignorant on here. I have met people who just keep repeating everything you say. All I ever think is, "What are you, 5?" It gets really annoying, especially if it is from someone who is older and should be way more maturer than they are now.

i had a reply that made me mad in a discussion that i started a while back. afterwards i didn't think i should had reacted in such a way not because i was sorry but because the persons reply was just so over the top that it was nonsense.
i find it amusing on how people can get so upset at peoples discussions and responses of so many people they don't actually know in person on mylot.

I know, that is why I try to be as cool as possible. State my side of the argument, without it leading to screaming or cursing at someone. How over the top? I am curious to know. For example were you talking about Micheal Jackson and the person replied "Micheal likes sticking apple sprinkles in his ears?" That is nonsense.

I don't recall any specific posts that made me mad, but I think if one did I would use that as an opportunity to respond and voice my own opinion. variety is the spice of mylot.

I did voice my opinion. I wanted to be a little harsher than I was, but at the same time I was trying to keep my cool. I did not want to freak, just because one person has an opinion.

Don't be angry or upset wickedlove. You could be the best mom in the whole world, or you could be the worst - it has nothing to do with age. Yeah, young moms do get a bad rap somehow, but instead of take offense, take the offensive....
If you know you are doing your very best to be a good mom, you have nothing to take offense at. There are many mothers in the world much older than you who are not better or more competent just because they are older.
You and you child will win the end by knowing, and recognizing, that age does not a mother make!

Thanks malamar. Young parents get bad reps because they try to make sure younger people do not have kids by posting all of the horrible stories. What about those that overcome everything, and raise an all star kid.

I think anyone who has been here for more than even a few days, and really used the site has found those kinds of discussions. Basically you have two choices in this situation. 1) You can ignore it, or 2) You can join the discussion and politely, and intelligently point out the stupidity, and ignorance of their argument. Some people are either so set in set in their ways that they will never change, or have a limited view of any given topic because they have only had bad experiences. Either way I wouldn't take it personally, No one can judge you or your life with any merit what so ever if they don't even know you.

That is true, on the judge part. No one can really judge you without knowing you, but at the same time people still do. I think I fall more into the 2 category. I should ignore some conversations, but I seem to have problems with self control.

The same has happened to me, but I can't think of any particular one either. I guess it just depends on the person's english knowledge that has me deciding exactly what it is that made me mad. Now if they aren't exactly that clear I try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I haven't really felt angry or mad...but I remember one time I post a discussion and there's this one who did not even respond to my topic but made comments about the responses in that discussion, and what makes me feel quite irritated was he made mean comments, at first I tried to ignore but when I've seen a lot of bad comments what I did was I really answered his comment like I am trying to tell him that he has no place in that discussion. lol!

Hi wickedlove, I see you've already run into the mylot complainer!! Take no notice of her at all, she's not got any manners at all and will most likely ignore your response or tell you you didn't respond correctly. I made a discussion referring to the person in question telling me not to respond to her discussions anymore, it was extremely popular. Don't worry, she in no way represents the normal type of mylotter.

certainly i met this same thing and make me angry, because i find that someone's comment really misunderstand what i mean.although my respons seems not let someone's understand, but i hope that they can use ambiguous words to express and not sharp word, sometimes it only hurt my heart.

Not necessarily on MyLot as of yet. I have found certain posts on other message forums that cause my blood to boil just a little bit. The Internet is a big place. There is a lot of ignorance everywhere. The best thing I do is just try and not let it get to me. Its the Internet. People online, especially like this, should not really distract me and make me angry. I do not participate under any means. To me, it would just be like pouring gasoline on a fire.
