If you were to win 1.5 million in a lottery would you continue to work?

For most of us winning that sort of cash would make us deliriously happy. But when the dust settled would you return to work or would you be happy to kick back and relax?

i guess it won't happen to me anyway, but nice to dream about it... Yes, I will work, but not directly. I can hire people to work for me, and my work would be arrange their work. That gives help to society and give me satisfaction. I will surely have more relaxing time with family and friends. Ok, let's dream! :D

Honestly, I don't think 1.5 million would be enough that would make my husband and I change our lives. I mean initially we would probably take a vacation or something to get away for a little while. However, when we came back home, we would first pay off all of our debt, and then I think it would be time that life would return to normal. I would continue to babysit my nieces and I know that my husband would go back to work. That would be the only decision that we would be able to make.

sunisami if i were that fortunate i would buy a computer programming business and put my son in charge and once it started making money we would buy a low priced house, and get our stuff out of storage, and move me and my son back into housing of our own. what a lovely dream but its only a dream. darn.

Well right now I am not working due to medical issues, but in any case if I was in a position to be working, There's no doubt in my mind, I would keep working. For 1 thing I think the responses to this question will have a great deal to do with job satisfaction. I loved my job, and it was difficult at times, but I would not quit right away. The other thing is where I live 1.5 million, while a lot money is not all that much when you consider what you will do with it. I do not own my own house and would probably buy one. Where I live the averaged house is selling for in the neighborhood of 400,000-500,000 dollars. And that's for your average, typical 3 bedroom 1 bath home. Then you have property taxes to now worry about so I would have to put away enough money to pay my property taxes for at least ten years. I would more than likely spend some on charity, my tithe to god, and my family. Then I would invest the rest where I couldn't touch it for awhile, for my future. So that would leave me still needing a job for a source of income. Now if you had said 15 million, or 150 million, than that might be a totally different story.
