Well too bad that you were not able to explore much of Bohol. The Chocolate Hills is the main highlight of that place. This time of the year it is not so chocolate like looking hills since it is wet season so the hills are more greener than brown. But still it should have been prioritized by the tour managers. Bohol has many great places to visit too like the Loboc River and the smallest primates there. It is such a grate place to explore and it seemed a very peaceful place to be right now.

yeah i know,, thats why im very disappointed. i fell in love with bohol the moment i stepped my foot there. although the roads are narrow, i love the trees ( the small ones ) that they planted on the wrong side. we do not have a tour manager. he is just a van driver, and when we ask about information, eg, how far or how long.. he cannot answer.. just basta malayo.. good thing somebody told us that it will take us more than an hour to chocolate hills. it doesnt matter to me when it will look like green hills, i love green. LOL

hello thebestmom!i hope you enjoy your trip here in cebu! but how come you are not able to see the chocolate hills when you are already in bohol? i think you should have an additional day in your tour, coz you can actually tour bohol in just a day!
my husband & i was there last dec 22, and its just a one day tour! we ride on first trip boat from cebu to bohol and ride on the last trip on that day well...
we spend 200 pesos each for one way boat fare, well its just economy but its fine and much better for me...and its just about an hour travel! we use the service of fast craft...
and upon reaching bohol, we just rented a van, that tours us in the place! it costs 3500 for the whole day!i really enjoy our trip there & chocolate hills is just amazing! but they say that its even better to go there during summer so that it will really looks like chocolate, coz now its not chocolaty at all...coz grasses are green!what we just miss is the Panglao beach and their zipline! but all in all i have fun in that tour!

really? we paid 500.00 for the boat trip.maybe because we just booked a day before. and no other trip was available. just the 9am trip and back 4pm. thats why we had limited time. we cannot plant the trip ourselves because we just went with my brother. ( he paid for the trip. hehe)
we arrived in cebu 25 night, and left 28
overall, we enjoyed our trip :-)

500? huh! what's that? one way only? and where's the route of that boat? cebu-tagbilaran? coz the route of the boat that we took is cebu- tubigon...and from there, the very first site that we visit is the sagbayan peak which from there the hills are already seen and our next stop is that place with about or more than 200 stairs and from there you can actually see the beauty of the hills!
we were also able to go in their hanging bridge, and then we have our lunch in Loboc River...and visit those tarsiers as well as that largest snake in captivity, and the hinagdanan cave hich is also nice...
well, there will always be next time and so i hope you could explore more of Bohol the next time you visit the place...

I haven't been to Bohol yet but I've heard from a co-worker that it was really nice. It's a bit expensive for our budget this year but I guess we'll manage to squeeze it in. We've been dreaming of having a vacation in Cebu and Bohol is at the top of our list.

the fare is not that expensive if you book your plane early because arlines now always have their promos. the food is not that expensive too. boat fare from cebu to bohol is around 500-600 per person. a 2-hour boat ride..
