Hi Mylotters With so many home security systems out there like ADT,Brinks,ect.. their very easy to get I have the system was free but of course the monitoring is monthly fee we have ADT sometimes I am beginning to think we may not even it need it because there is usually always someone home but there is always the time when someone might not be so we still have it also when you go on vacation its nice to have that . I would imagine it would depend on your situation also it helps with your homeowners insurance so there are other benefits besides just the protection plan. Having the signs out there that you stick on next to your house helps out I would imagine it aids in protecting your home I don't have a car alarm yet kind of on the fence with that one

No, we really don't have an alarm for the house. We have like 12 dogs there...so I think our house is feared. haha. And yeah, there is always someone home. We always ask someone to take care of the house if were not around. As for the car, no, I don't think we have an alarm for that as well

Okay, first and foremost... NO I will nto give you my address... haha Neither my home nor any of the 4 vehicles that sit outside of it have alarms on them... and they're never locked either... with the exception of when my husbands not home now and then for a night, I'll lock the doors... it just makes me feel safer. But no... I don't lock my car, I don't lock my house. Nothing has ever been stolen and no one has ever just walked in that I didnt' want there. My mother and father in law are the same way and they have some extravagant things in their home! I couldn't believe it. I was brought up in the city where you must lock your doors at all time in everything... its a nice change of pace to be in the woods and not have to worry about it so much!

Hi Shell2784 Do you live in the midwest or some other type of small town where everybody knows everybody but I wouldn't try that in the city! Your very lucky not to have had any issues with security in your area I haven't had any issues either knock on wood! And I hope never to have any issues when I lived in an apartment the custodians where stealing from the tenants it was easy for them to do since they had keys to your apartment, that never happend to me thank goodness because I was a stay at home mom at the time and I was usually home. But my fellow tenants would tell me stories of how they had things missing from their apartments without any signs of break in. Those guys were eventually fired but I am sure that happens all over in situations like that which is one reason why I am glad I no longer live in an apartment.

Hi! I just live in a little town in PA - but I don't live right in town or anything... so that helps too. We're kind of on one of those roads that no one really travels on unless they live on it kind of thing. Plus, we have two apartmetns on our property and my friends are in either one of them... so they kind of keep an eye on the place - but we didn't lock our doors at our last house either. I used to freak out about it - but as my father in law says... if someone wants to get in your house... they're going to find away whether the doors are locked or not. This way, I just have to replace my stuff, but no broken doors or windows! haha

I live in the woods in the middle of nowhere with a pack of wolves in the backyard & all my arms & armor inside... Yea, lets see someone try breaking in here without us knowing & going after them!

We don't have any alarm systems. I do lock the doors at night and ask that the kids lock the house if they are here alone.
