Would you go for alternative fuels?  

If those alternative fuels had been experimented on and they are working efficiently and effectively, then it's time for us to use them and help in the preservation of the world. If those research are well documented then I hope that someone or some groups are working on it so that may be a decade from now, it will be available all over the world. The problem I am seeing is the availability in a large scale such that all nations can use it. Anyway, let's hope for the best and if there is in my place, I would gladly use it.

Anything that is an alternative and reusable is really a very interesting emerging technology that everyone should support. I believe that oil reserves are starting to dwindle already and it is about time that we have to look for a replacement for it. I think the only reason why alternative fuel research is slowly moving on is because the oil producers are afraid that the prices of their commodity would drop once a viable alternative is found and there would be shifting of its usage from traditional black gold to the alternative ones. I think they would want to exhaust what is left for them and make money on them before the adopting of the new alternatives available.

Most of the time when we see wanings that we are running short on anything having to do with fuel its from the oil companies.I have seen articles about cars running on water for decades. If they could do make cars do it decades ago why hasn't it gone any farther than it has. We have all heard about cars getting 100 miles per gallon but that car was recalled and the one that was given only got 20 miles a gallon.

Yeah I agree with using alternate fuel. As we know that fossil fuels may cease it supply. In our country, a man invented to use 50% fuel and 50% water to run a car. And it is very effective after testing it with 500 miles run. We must find ways and alternates for fuels because they are nearly out of supply.

Just to level the playing field, not everyone agrees that we are running out of fossil fuel. There are new technologies that are capable of extracting oil that was up until now, impossible or very expensive to extract.

That said, I think that alternative fuels should be developed and given a chance. The biggest problem right now is the cost. Many people would be interested in using solar energy or wind power or whatever, if they could afford it.

The answer is not in raising the cost of traditional fuel, but in lowering the cost of alternative fuel. The government subsidizes everything else; why not solar power, for instance?

This year's Copenhagen Conference has rung the bell for the world,alerting people about the potential hazards underlying our life. If the alternative fuel is environmentally friendly and ecologically harmonious,I will certainly go for it. I agree that some people are right about the costs on developing alterntive fuels and exploiting renewable resources that people may not be able to pay for the pricey gas. However,this will be a deed which influences the whole world as a whole. Our future is threatened by disastrous pollutions and damages.
In light of this fact,government should voluntarily lower the prices of new energy and popularize them throughout society. We are doing this not only for ourselves but also for our next generations. 2012 can be really horrifing

yeah, as long as their is an alternatives fuel resources to replace those depleted fuel resources it could be a great help to the economy and to the people who gonna spend less money just to avail of the cheap fuel which is better since it is extracted from natural sources.

I believe in alternative energy, and frankly, so does everyone else. Mainly because we need to. To be honest I am actually excited to see all the fossil fuel supplies dry up. Let's think about it for a second, no oil means less to almost no traffic, cleaner air, people would walk or ride bikes more meaning they would be healthier thus putting an end to the obesity epidemic. With no need for oil, America would stop its dependency on other countries for oil supply. Besides, man has lived for thousands of years without fossil fuels until only a little more less than 150 years or so. Mankind will make adjustments just like they always have.

I really am for alternative fuel source. That's why I voted for this certain senator who advocated the use of biofuels. It was really a close call when he almost didn't get that spot.

I am not really an active environmentalist but I am against too much industrialization that ruins natural resources and I guess using biofuel is much more enviroment-friendly so I am for it.
