My cats refuse to take over BUG Killing Patrol!! How about yours?  

I didn't want them to eat it, I just wanted them to kill it!!

You make an excellent point, they definitely don't react like that to all bugs. They play with ants and kill them for me...don't eat them which is very good! I have heard that ants are very bitter so maybe they learned that lesson the hard way!

It was kind big,,about 1/2 inch so it was way....tooo....big and had to be screamed over and killed. Tho for my daughter's sake, it was a silent scream!! If I was alone at the time, I likely would have really yelped!

I don't mind nearly so much removing the dead bodies, it's the killing that gets to me....I had to smack the crap out of that beetle and it made a big mess. Hubby would have scooped it up and flushed it..Not me...I had to make darn sure if was a goner!!! Be Well!!

Where is Bonky when ya need him,,,lounging and eating Tuna at the Rainbow Bridge! He passed when he was 21 years young but killed a bug the week he died! Such an avid hunter he was ruthless and cunning! And such a little bundle of contradictions! Sweet and Cuddly one minute and on the hunt like the apex predator he was the next! Almost every time, he went outside, he brought me back a lovely present..which hubby took care of so to speak! He was such a wonderful Beast!

It was kinda big...we live in the South so my definitions of Monster Bugs has changed ALOT since I lived in Massachusetts. It was about 1/2 an inch with a hard shell and was foolish enough to come in my home and even more foolish for interupting my wake up shower time. Plungered to death, he was...maybe he was ready for bug heaven...

Yuck..the poor spiders!! Them I don't mind very much and they get huge here! I kinda like them and sometimes will escort them outside where they can roam free. Now Hubby is a wimp when it comes to them for some reason, they freak him out abit so I come to the rescue usually on those ones! He can't understand why I ever take them outside!! But they help me by eating the other bugs so we have an understanding...LOL!!

Well that's not very much help now is it? Tho I guess it might save you from having an unwelcome visitor wandering around your home without your knowledge!

Cats are indeed very particular creatures and unpredicatable just like humans which is one of the reasons I can't imagine my house with one!

My indoor kitties are spoiled to the max and I think they know it..as they spoil us with hugs and cuddles. Cleo is just turning 4 next month and Delilah will be 4 at the end of the summer so they are both fairly young and love to play and play hunt with each other but not bugs!

Mocha, our dog gets to come and go from the backyard at will yet neither cat has shown much interest! They do love to watch the birds and squirrels tho they don't seem to get the fact that they could go out and hunt them!

I don't let them out since even tho our backyard is fenced in, they could climb over and there are lots of dogs in our neighborhood so just not safe enough in my opinion.

I'm glad that I was able to add a chuckle to your day! It was very likely a comical situation if someone had been watching me! It would have been alot easier on me if the beetle passed on from the Lysol but nope.

I am just not as kind as you are my dear! In order to broom them out I'd have to sweep it thru the bedroom, might get away and then into the living room and then thru the kitchen into the garage and then out the door! Too risky!! The only bugs that I seem to have any compassion for our spiders and them I do rescue from time to time and escort them outside! I do feel bad for killing the bugs which is why hubby has to do it most of the time. Tho they just creep me out and they have to go and quickly!

Now mice, my cats would go for them, I think!!! They have very real looking fur ones that they adore. They each have their own and they don't share them. One gets annoyed if the other plays with the moussie that's not theirs. Tho Mocha can play with any of the toys and it's okay? I think that since we got Mocha, a Jack Russell Terrier when she a pup, both cats kinda think of themselves as her mom. They both wash her face after meals and cuddle up with her like they own her.

I love Pits!! They are so intelligent and gentle, so very sad that folks make the assumptions about them that they do. When I was in High School, one of my best friends raised Pits and Bull dogs, her Mom only bred them about every 2 years or so. And they were such great dogs so I think that's why I don't fear them off the bat the way so many do. I'm only 5 foot nothing so if a Pit attacked, I'd be in real trouble but I have never come close to even having that thought cross my mind with Pits.

At least your kids help somewhat, our daughter does no bugs or mice or anything...maybe we'll have to add that to her training so to speak this summer... LOL...Be WELL!!
