Super Bowl 44

Things seem to be turning blue in Indianapolis, Indiana today and it is not due to the cold weather that has seemed to be way to long in the city, it is due to the Blue Monday send-off for the Super Bowl Bound Indianapolis Colts. Blue Week begins today for all of the fans of the team as the local canal has turned blue and there seems to be blue and white decorations and Colts gear everywhere in the area. Fans arrived early at the Arts Garden in downtown Indianapolis to begin the celebration and rally to send the Indianapolis players off to Miami in style. Being that the fans were able to do the same thing three years ago, the party seems to be bigger and better this year. Thousands of fans are at the rally listening to the Mayor talk about the team and the big game on Sunday. There is plenty of music and cheers in the rally too as well as alumni players signing autographs for the fans. Throughout Indianapolis, pwople are talking about the team and the chance of once again being the winning Super Bowl team. Owners of the Blue Crew Grill and owners of the Cajun Cafe have a friendly wager going as to who will win the game. Whichever owner loses, has to work in the restaurant of the winning team for a day. Colts spirit abounds in Indianapolis and it shows during this rally. As the team prepares to leave Indianapolis for Miami, the fans are just as happy to be celebrating the AFC championship as the players are. The Indianapolis Colts players will board a plane later today to arrive at the Fort Lauderdale airport by 5 p.m. The New Orleans Saints have made their first appearance at the Super Bowl city around noon when their plane landed at the Miami airport at about noon. All of the Pro Bowl players from both teams are already in Miami and will meet up with teammates later today. Indianapolis fans hope the Super Bowl 44 holds the same outcome as Super Bowl 41 when the Indianapolis Colts brought home a Super Bowl win. The team has made sure that as many of the same routines are followed this time as was the last time. The players want this to be as routine as it possibly can be. The excitement of being there is always a highlighting moment, but it can be a distraction if a player allows it to be. Rumors abound as to whether Indianapolis Colts player, Dwight Freeney will play on Sunday or not. Aftering suffering an ankle injury in the AFC championship game, he is listed as questionable on playing at the big game or not. Whether he does or not, I am sure that Indianapolis has a qualified person to step in and fill his shoes. They know that whoever is playing the game is an important part of something big and they want the best of the best in this game. Whether Peyton Manning or Drew Brees leads their team to the Super Bowl victory, one fact is sure - Indianapolis Colts fans have the perfect way to send off a team and they know that they believe in their team and its players. Do you think that the Colts or the Saints will win the Super Bowl?

Well, since my beloved Cowboys are out of the running, I guess I will be rooting for the Saints. Only because I am one that would love to see the underdog win...the team that has never even been to a Super Bowl before. I think there are many who's teams are out of the running that are going to be pulling for the Cinderella story to have a happy ending! I do like Manning though, so maybe I'll root for both sides! LOL

Had I seen this before I would have said the Saints, of course! It's been a long time coming but the tide has finally turned. Sorry Peyton.
