Have you seen the Green Mile? |
| |
| I have seen this movie several times. Since it is my favorite movie. I was just wondering how we would treat a person that could heal like the guy in this movie could heal? When I seen this movie I thought of Jesus Christ when HE was on this earth, is this how HE was treated. Honestly if a person could heal like this wonder how we would treat him. Would we as humans put him to death. I would think who is this person. I would wonder where this person came from. If it was God HE would be able to read my mind and tell me who HE was. The anti christ is coming back first and is going to have wonderful powers. And will amaze some of us. If we don't know that the anti christ is coming first we may be deceived. I wonder why they made a movie like this. I wonder if the writer of this movie was thinking about the LORD when the person wrote this movie. Not sure of what I would do. But know I would surely pray about it. If you knew someone that could heal like this what would you think and do? Would you go up and see if this person could heal your problems? | | | | | |

| | Hi Janey. I do believe your right I think it was writen by Stephen King. He is one of my favorite authors. I have read many of his books. They don't make me have nightmares. But seeing movies they will frighten me. He does make you think. Yes to start it would be wise to treat him better. I cried when they electrocuted him. I wondered at that time about Jesus Christ and HIS crucifixion. God was proud of HIS Son but it still must have hurt to see that HIS creation did such evil to HIS Son. I haven't read Under The Dome, what is it about? | | | |

| | After all these years, I still have yet to see this movie in it's entirety. I think I 've seen bits and pieces of it on networks like TNT, and FX, but I never made it a point to watch the whole thing. I've heard great things about it anyway. I should probably put in in my Netflix cue. The ability to heal, and being chastised for it reminds me a lot of the overall social dynamic of the X-Men Comic book franchise. The humans felt threatened by the mutants, and their various powers. Instead of thinking rationally about the help Xaviers X-Nen provided the world, there were a ton of who just saw them as a threat to everyone who was "normal". The concept of that series is very deep. No matter what they did against the forces of evil, ignorant people still wanted all mutants eradicated just because. Over the years, people pm this planet have been prejudice over race, sexual orientation, and gender. If there was a Christ-like figure who made him/her self known to the world in the 21st century, i wouldn't be surprised if there were people who wanted them dead out of fear and angst. | | | | | | |

| | Hi Cbjones. I am in the same belief as you. It would be the evil people that would want a person that could do this good killed and gone. I would recommend see this movie. It made me cry but it also made me mad. I still can't believe how we as humans can't let go of our evil ways. We as humans killed Christ. This really bum fuzzles me there standing before humans doing only good and what did we do as humans we killed HIM. The Son of God. But HE was sent to die for our sins. It was the evil humans that killed Christ. This movie will be well worth your time. | | | |

| | Hello Mr. free_man!!! Well, then you should watch Prison Break. Starting from Season 1 of course...You'll gonna love it and hook with it. But it is not a 2 hour movie so you must have a lot of time to watch all the episodes... Anyway, i forgot to mention that you should also read the The Green Mile novel if you can find the time... And since I'm talking about Stephen King, read and watch also his Misery novel if you still havent... | | | |

| | I'd watched this movie only in 2004 and I must admit this is a good movie, the story is super sentimental, but like you, I was also appalled with how Stephen King (the writer) presented the character of John Cofey (the big guy who heals). I think he deserves to live as he has no bad intention but just heal. His case was badly handled and there was lots of injustices. That was really a sad fate. | | | | | | |

| | Hi Jlamela. Isn't that the way it usually goes though when there is good evil is always trying to put good out of this world. I love this movie although it does make me cry. It still puts me in mind of how we as humans did our LORD and savior Jesus Christ. Humans put HIM to death too. They will put all good things down cause evil is more appealing to some. | | | |

| | This is one of my favourite films as it is based on a story written by my favourite author Stephen King.I have watched it a few times as we have the DVD of it. I found this a very good movie and enjoyed it very much I had also read the books before the movie came out and they are exactly like the movie. It is very sad at the end. | | | | | | |

| | Okay,I love Stephen King's work and of course his novel-based and other movies including the Green Mile. I doubt though that he wanted to compare the character with the Lord Jesus, it was merely more of his imagination. Now, if I had the opportunity to meet and get to know somebody with similar powers, the ability to heal any disease then I'd probably feel so lucky and perhaps try to help as many sick people as possible, but that's if his okay with that. It's not my powers in that situation so I have to convince him or ask his permission about it. But if he could heal problems then that would be a better miracle. | | | | | | |

| | Hi Choybel. I don't know what Mr. Kings ideals was I just thought of how The LORD JESUS CHRIST must have felt when all HE wanted to do is make people that was sick well. Jesus was sent here by God to die for our sins. This movie just made me cray. I don't know many people that would be as graceful as you and I. I have met many people in my life but few that really and truly love the LORD. I am a Christian and don't give a hoot who knows. I am proud of knowing the LORDs and try my best to do as God would have me do. Before I do something I usually think to myself is this what Jesus would have done. | | | |

| | Hi, free! Maybe it's because I'm not a Christian that I didn't ever think of such things when I've watched this, one of my favorite films. I thought of the many peope who have gotten in touch with the powers they carry and learned to use them, even if by accident. We all have far more in us than we know! | | | | | | |

| | Hi Cobra. I am a Christian and I am proud of that. I know if God hadn't been in my life I wouldn't have made it to my happy old age. I am blessed daily by God and I am proud of that. The only thing we have in us is what God gave us. The power is in us only through the grace of God. | | | |

| | I hope it didn't seem as if I lack faith. I'm fervently Jewish, so I don't think of Christ at all. God, however, is in my heart and soul and every aspect of my life. With His help, I have survived more than a couple of near-death events, and because of His love, I cherish every minute of life. I'm 63, and not one minute of all those years has passed without God with me and within me. | | | |

| | Hi Cobra. No it is not my right to judge anyone. You have your faith and that is all that is important that we let God be our guide in everyday of our lives. I am almost 58 and God has always been my guide since I can remember. Good luck and God bless. | | | |

| | I do have one question. They knew he was innocent yet they executed him. Doesn't any innocent man deserve to be fought for??? Of course, this is a movie and just a story.I wonder how many innocent men have been locked away or killed in the name of justice?? | | | | | | |

| | Hi Bird. You are so right there have been several people in the last few years that have been released because of new dna testing. So like you I wonder how many people are in jail for crimes they didn't commit. They wanted him dead cause they didn't understand. Just like they wanted Jesus Christ dead. What crime had HE done? | | | |
