Self- Hypnosis for Self-Improvement  

This is absolutely true. A while back, I used to work at a warehouse with a few other employees and one of them was a hypnotist. He used to have his own office with clientele as well. When I use to speak to him we always spoke about the art of hypnosis and all the techniques he uses for his patients to overcome certain problems in their lives. I was curious one day and I went to his office for a session. It was a very interesting experience. He did an exercise with me which made one of my arms light as a feather and the other arm as heavy as a boulder. I was under light hypnosis, then one arm began rising on it's own and the other was glued to the chair. That experience felt very real for me. You can also practice self-hypnosis, but seek how to do it from a professional.

Hi teamrose, Yes, self-hypnosis is quite good but it sometimes takes awhile to get comfortable with it, so don't give up easy. Just keep at it at least twice every day and remember it doesn't matter how many times each day you listen to the tapes. It's something that you cannot overdose on. Blessings.

I have never been successful with self hypnosis but I found that positive thinking is my best avenue to self improvement. If I was trying to avoid procrastination I would begin the day by saying aloud to myself "This is going to be a great day! I'm going to finish _____ today and not put off anything else." I might have a huge backlog but I would handle one at a time. By saying things aloud and repeating them, it makes them so. I rarely have a bad day, in spite of things that go wrong, because each day I tell myself it's going to be great.
