Any memory of smells?  

Many of my memories are related to smells. There are times when I smell coffee brewing and it takes me back to being a little girl and waking up at my great grandmother's house. There was always a pot of coffee brewing on the old cook stove and bacon frying for my breakfast. Perfumes and colognes take me back to days past and remind me of people or events. Driving down the road sometimes I will get a whiff of someone burning a wood stove and remember when I was first married and how I spend those early days feeding the stove and taking care of my now grown babies. Yes, certain smells really do transport me back in time.

I do have some memories like that.
But in most cases I'm out of reality,
If I smell rose or any good smell, I feel like floating in air,
Oh my goodness I feel like I'm in heaven.

Yes i remember when i was kid i smell mud.When i go to my village i smell fresh
water and nice smell of trees.I remember in my aunt's house i smelled gas once.
When i going out with my family suddenly petrol is over then we go to petrol bunk
their i smell petrol.

Tests have shown that the sense of smell is one of our most powerful memories. I don't know why in police line up you don't get to smell the people. Can't you just guess how funny and how terrible that would be.

When I was a kid we used to go to Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL. At that time they still had a brewery on premise. I always remember the smell of that malted barley ( and elephant poo )from the facility. Years later I became a brewmaster. Yes, making beer for a living. It doesn't suck. Anyway, I still associate that smell with Busch Gardens (sans elephant dung). I have a lot more memories grounded subconsciously by smell, but this is the one I deal with daily. It still gives me a sense of childhood curiosity & comfort.

There aren't many fireplaces in Miami, but when I smell wood burning, I feel as if I'm back in our summer house on Cape Cod, when I was a little kid. For a split second, I remember how much I loved that house by the sea, and the fact that all the adults usually went out and left us kids to ourselves!

Songs and smells remind us of happenings in our life. Smell of tube roses reminds me of funerals, a particular perfume I wore on our first holiday and I see both of us going hand in hand for a walk along the lake, a scent that brought me a head ache which I can never use now, I could go on and on.

Hi there:) Well, for me, the smell of hotbread reminds me of when i was young, there would always be a breadseller riding on his bicycle, yelling out 'who wants bread?' early in the morning... it's sort of like the icecream man... except he's selling bread instead of icecream and rides a bike instead of a truck.

scents can trigger me emotionally and take me back to my memories.a certain scent can remind me of an ex boyfriend,a childhood memory,or an old friend.I love perfumes.my nose and my brain can tell if a guy's perfume is nice.if it doesn't smell nice,I sneeze.

Many of my memories are associated with smells...especially of the time when I was very young...in kindergarten. I associate my classroom with the smell of my eraser and my waterbottle (yes, it has a different smell to it).I associate my evenings to the smell of a dish my mother used to make and feed me every evening. I don't think she's ever made it after I've grown. I was a fussy eater and I guess it was just something she made especially for me.
I associate a particular perfume to a family friend we knew.
Oh..so many smells I'm reminded of. I lived in a country where it never rained...so I was fascinated with rain and the smell of fresh, wet earth whenever I visited my hometown. I still associate the smell with our ancestral home even though I now live in a place where it does rain.
