In Malta its a common thing to see most houses decorated for Christmas. I have visited Australia during Christmas. Not every house is decorated as I believe there are various religions practised but I was impressed by this house. It had beautiful lightings. Do you think that such decorations can offend people from other religions? Unfortunately some vandals cut off the Christmas lightings. I cannot say if it was religiously motivated or not. I prefer to believe that it was the work of some jackass. Do you decorate your home for Christmas?

That is a very pretty house in your picture. EEEK, can you imagine the light bill? :O I decorate the inside of my house, and put a wreath out on my door. In fact, now that you mention it, I never did take down the wreath. :D Guess that's going to be done sometime today, providing I do not forget about it again.

Majority of the Filipinos are Catholic and Christian so we all go and decorate our houses even the buildings in our country. During Christmas, it really is an all out decorating contest, where houses tries to outdo each other, even big cities try to put out more decorations than the neighboring city.

I never have decorated the outside of my residence for Christmas, only the inside. There really aren't many thing I could afford to do to make the outside of my house "Christmasy". My parents decorated the outside of their house one year. My dad strung lights in the big tree in their yard, and he hung a big wreath over the garage door. But the cost of using electricity to run the Christmas lights all night for a month kind of discourgaed him from decorating again. He thought it was fun, but now that he is older, it is also more difficult.

Christmas is already over, and u are too late for it!! lol =D Just kidding!! Well, over here, we dun really decorate for christmas, because not many ple are willing to spend the day at home, when they can be out celebrating with frens as well as counting down to the special occasion.. hehe ^_^ Even if we do decorate, the most we will do is placing a small christmas tree in the house, together with some lightings, and that will be it.. hehe

I used to go all out, but now I only put out a few things and have about a 12" tree. I have tons of Christmas decor out in the shed building, but my daughter is married and decorates unbelievably (spell?), and I decorate for my mom's house cause she's not able. So I just don't do much at my home. It's enough for me.

I have not done much to decorate outside in the past. I have a very nice evergreen tree I would like to decorate, maybe, but it is too tall for me to do the top, now. I would love to put a forest of Christmas trees on my front porch sometime. I also think luminarias would be pretty. Here it does not seem that the decor is so much related to religion although it can be. Some people just decorate because it is fun for them to do. It is too bad that some vandals damage light displays, that is sad.

I decorate my home every year for Christmas. Well at least the inside of my house. I was raised that way. My mother always had Christmas decorations in our home every year for Christmas.

I don't decorate, much anymore...my son is now 29! But all thru his childhood, the sparkle, the joy...the look on his face, as decorations went up, and lights went on...was nearly all the fulfillment, one needed for the Season! I truly do cherish the holidays...and my childhood memories, and hopefully I have created some fond one's for my son, too! Cheers!

If we are hosting Christmas, then we decorate, if not, then we might put up just one symbol.

Hi Ronald, When my children were younger my house always used to be decorated like a grotto, just to celebrate Yule/Christmas as there is a lot of significance to the tree and holly, ivy also the decorations..but iit is and was lovely for the children to see, now though it is as if I just can't be bothered even though the colours tree etc mean the same-Christmas to me is really another day and mainly I think because I am on my own there is no enthusiam to decorate anymore...LoLo

Yes, my husband puts up lights every Christmas...on the house, the roof, the fenceline and he has lighted outdoor decorations that are placed in the front yard. We also decorate the inside of the house. Just about everyone in our immediate community decorates their homes with lights and it's always very pretty.

I only decorate in the inside. I am from California USA. I do enjoy driving around and looking at how people decorate outside of their homes. I just can't afford it but if I could yes I would decorate inside and out. Some homes are just beautiful. I like to see how creative people are as well.

Yes, I decorate my house for Christmas. I always decorate the inside with a Christmas tree and other decorations, but I don't always put up my lights on the outside. Sometimes, I get lazy...

My husband and I have a small apartment and a really big cat, so if we put up decorations, the cat will probably destroy them. LOL My mother decorates her house, but she has a bigger house, and no indoor cats.
