Writing tips from Ezinearticles

Wow, you have some ambitious goals. I am trying to change things up. This week I actually wrote out my writing goals (as well as some other stuff I need to get done around the house), and I am finding that the list actually encourages me.

What is your new blog about? Are you using Blogspot? I am thinking of staring a new blog myself since I write so much about travel. My old blog is one for book reviews, but mainly I use it as a place to just keep all my reviews in one place. I was thinking of using Wordpress...have you tried blogging there?

Hi Canellita, I thought you are busy enough without blogging. Why started another blog when you hardly find time to take care of one blog?
Ezinearticles does provide excellent training. This is just one of the many training emails. They even have two emails focus on article title. You can get their emails once you sign up and submit the first article.
However, you have to give up the certain rights to the article. Anyone can just download your article for personal use, as long as they keep your link.
What I suggest is to write a summary of your existing article, and put the link in the resource box. You may get some readers this way.

I am busy enough but AC made me angry and Helium doesn't pay upfronts for certain topics so I figured why compete for a pittance of ad share revenue when I could just cut out the middle man and post the material to my own blog.

I have three blogs, one is about wine tasting, one New Orleans and the newest is about crafting. The reasons for them are obvious I am sure, lol. I am trying to now post at least once per month and I have started adding photographs. All three blogs are on Blogger. I started there because it was easy, didn't require a download and could easily be connected to Google Adsense. I still have to go back in and do some formatting but for now I am satisfied with the way things are. (Links are in my Helium profile for the first two; have to set up one for the third).

I don't care about giving up rights to "fluff" articles. Information can always be reformatted and updated for use in future articles. The only time I would worry about rights would be if the material were something I would want to use in a book down the road.

Scheng, what would you say is the number 1 benefit of Ezinearticles?

Hi Canellita, actually you are better off merging the three blogs into one, or close off two newer blogs and post the content to Hubpages.
Hubpages allow Adsense sharing, you just need to copy and paste the publisher ID there. Hubpages also allow Amazon widget, plus it has a large readerbase.
The advantages of Ezinearticles are the readerbase and webmasters. Articles definitely get indexed, and many webmasters will download the articles to republish in their websites. They will retain the links and give you credit for it.
That is why many people upload the better article to hubpages or their blogs, and write a shorter version to ezinearticles, with a link to direct traffic to their blogs.

I am going to have to look into it. My blogs are a place to put my comments that I really have no other place for and in the case of the wine tasting blog, to share my wine notes.

I have a wine group and I am actively attending wine tasting locally as well as a monthly networking event for women that is centered around wine. The craft thing came about because that is another aspect of my life. There will probably be a teaching blog before long as well.

Hi Art, after reading this particular email from Ezinearticles, I can understand how anyone can produce 20 articles in a day.
Sometimes it's just a matter of changing the keywords, eg walking for weight loss, and walking to lose weight. The changing of writing style is new to me too. I think you can try that with book review.
If you want the training email from Ezinearticles, you have to submit one article there. Bear in mind that Ezinearticles is an article directory. You must give up certain rights to the article, such as allowing anyone to use the article, provided they link back to your article.
I suggest writing a short summary of your existing articles in AC or Helium, under the resource box, you can direct the readers to read the full article. After all, Ezinearticles allow 250 words, quite an easy target.
After that, you will start to receive many excellent advice. They even have a few emails teaching you to craft a good title.

Hi Raineyes, you will not find this in Ezinearticles itself.
This is part of the training email for their writers. What you can do is to submit a summary of your existing article, and put the link to your article in the resource box. You will get the marvelous training emails from them. I'm sure it will help in creating writing ideas.
Ezinearticles do not pay. It's more for writers to get links to their articles. The minimum word count is only 250.

Oh yes, of course, and 250 words is not a lot at all. Maybe a page double spaced if I know how to estimate word count at all.

Actually the standard of Ezine is not high. They accept very low-quality articles. But since they dont pay a single cent, they manage to keep all the earnings.
Those who submit to Ezinearticles are looking for backlinks, and hoping people download the articles.
But I like the few training emails, it's really excellent advice.

The articles might not be in par, but the reputation of Ezine is awesome.. it's a powerful tool, for sure..
