Just a question on what life really is about in USA.

Early in the 2008 presidential campaign, Mr. Obama's aides viewed any partnership with Mr. Al Sharpton as potentially damaging. Mr. Obama personally took steps to head off a likely visit by Mr. Sharpton to Iowa before that state's caucuses, according to the book "The Audacity to Win," by David Plouffe, Mr. Obama's campaign manager. Mr. Sharpton said that Mr. Obama called him personally about the trip to heavily white Iowa but did not directly dissuade him from going. He said he decided on his own not to visit the state: "I didn't want him to lose because of me." ...Later events would confirm that Mr. Obama was right to be cautious about race. He was forced to denounce racially charged and anti-American comments by his longtime pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., who, unlike Mr. Sharpton, refused to heed the campaign's desire that he disappear from view. But Sharpton is out of the Obama closet: Now, Mr. Sharpton's visits to the White House are announced to the public. Last month, he addressed reporters in the White House driveway after an Oval Office meeting with other black leaders to press the president on jobs. At a White House Christmas party for liberal activists, Mr. Obama went out of his way in welcoming remarks to point out that "Reverend Al" was in attendance, say two participants. Guests to Mr. Sharpton's radio program have included Jared Bernstein, chief economic adviser to Vice President Joseph Biden, and Education Secretary Arne Duncan. Mr. Sharpton's advocacy group, the National Action Network, will feature Mr. Duncan and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius at its annual conference next month, according to Mr. Sharpton's office. Mr. Biden spoke last year. White House officials declined to discuss the specifics of their interactions with Mr. Sharpton. In an email, White House spokesman Corey Ealons described Mr. Sharpton as "one of many leaders we continue to speak with on the issues of the day." I am not aware of many other Presidents who would publicly associate with a murderer and professional bigot like Reverend Al. Like his hiring of the likes of Jones and Sunstein, his partnership with Al Sharpton not only desecrates the high office of president of the United States, but makes one wonder what Barack Obama's real goals are. This was written by a friend of mine in his newsletter. Contact me if you'd like to subscribe, I'll send you a link. In the meantime, knowing as we do that Al Sharpton lied to Americans when he said he had proof that two white members of law enforcement viciously raped a black teenage girl (remember Tawana Brawley?)...help me understand why it's ok for Obama to be even talking to this guy?

Al Sharpton is a pathological liar - Obama hangin out with somebody like that reflects very badly. BUT Sharpton is also pretty powerful and that I think is what gets Barry excited.

So would you say our leader is not concerned with what is right and ethical, only with 'power'?

I was going to go on about the "good" Rev. Sharpton, but nope. Holly said it all anyway...

Because the election is over and "I won". 0bama no longer cares what people think because he got what he wanted and that is all that matters.

Al Sharpton is a publicity hound who likes being important and spouting off on television about any issue he can find. Tawana Brawly, the Duke University incident, anywhere he can find controversy, he inserts himself into it. He has zero credibility as far as I am concerned. Obama said we'd know him by the company he keeps. So far they have turned out to be racists, Marxists, Communists, pseudo-scientist wackos, school counselors who find boys being picked up in bus stations by older men to be just alright and an assortment of other wackos I just can't even bring myself to think about. He damages his own image every time he associates with someone like Sharpton.

He doesn't seem to think he has an image problem. In my opinion he's a narcisist (sp?) Hope I spelled that right. I'm somewhat of a psychology buff, and I looked up that disorder, reminded me of our president. Others out there in the media think so too. He's been compared to many famous narcissists.

Our president doesn't seem to make good choices for positions in his administration. Marxists, Maoists, Communists, thugs like Raum Emanuel and his brother who has questionable medical ethics, and now Sharpton. I think we have the equivalent of Don Corleone (remember The Godfather?) in the White House, or worse.

That's what polictic is all about. Politics are not kind hearted acts, but profit based acts. As long as we have the profit then you're in no matter what but if you're just too much to handle then sayonara. That's politics.

..."makes one wonder what Barack Obama's real goals are".... This has been my number one question with Obama since day one. IMO the whole Obama personae is a facade like a house of cards and until it comes tumbling down we will remain in the dark. I think Obama's presidency is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on this country. Historians of the future will have plenty to say about this drastic era in American history.

I talked to a ninety year old WWII vet here at the home where I work. He is very current and not the least confused or be fuzzeled by age. He describe the America that he fought for in the forties, and said he expects so pretty big shake up come the elections in 2010 and 2012.
