Since I moved to Texas from Pa, with what would fit into my Blazer, I had to leave all my furniture in Pa. So now that I just recently moved into my own place I am buying furniture. I got a really good deal on a matteress set, headboard and footboard at Big Lots, and an eve further discount because it was the last of it's style and the floor model. I also found a wooden rocker at a garage sale. I have two chairs for my living room that were given to me. When you buy furniture do you look for name brands (higher priced) or do you look for bargains at discount stores and yard sales?

I usually go on Saturday mornings, sometimes I'll do it both Friday and Saturday. I love finding bargains at garage sales. I bought a throw pillow for my bed for a dollar yesterday. I might have to make a weekend trip down your way and hit the garage sales with ya. And I got an office chair for my scrapbook room for $5

i look for the bargains, I like nice furniture, but I also want furniture that I can use. We also have a dog and a cat, so buying expensive leather would not work long at our house. I am all for picking up a bargain at a yard sale. And we have this thing called freecycle here in our area. It is where people get rid of stuff that they no longer want. I had over $30,000 in my hand one time to buy what I needed and I spent $700. on a new couch. A sectional, like I said I see items that boy I would love to have but when I see the price attached to it, not that I couldn't I just think sometimes it is not worth what they are asking, I mean it is only a couch or a recliner or rocker, it does not dance or cook my meals I and the dog is going to sit on it. big Lots has some nice stuff I like some of their sofas, that is more my style of shopping, I never been a big spender to have to have the best, just what will work.

We have the freecycle in this area too, just haven't found anything on there yet. I also check out craigslist. You can find a lot of bargains and free stuff on there too. I agree with you, a lot of the furniture is over-priced for what it is. I have never seen a small city (like where I'm living) have soooo many Ashley furniture stores, to the point of over-kill lol, and they all offer the same stuff.

I would buy bargain things at first, and if I wanted the more expensive things, I would replace them a little at a time, as I was able to save money. Buying everything at once would get very expensive and I would not be able to do it.

The bed set I bought is good and was a bargain, like you, I'll replace the older stuff as I find bargains and find the stlye of furniture I actually want. But even buying the new furniture I'll be looking for a good bargain.

My house is ready in May. I am thinking of asking an interior decorator to design the house into a cosy place to have a more comfortable living. Yes, I want the best of everything in my new house and expect everything to be new. Though I have lots of old junks in my former house which I am giving them away as I prefer to have a classy settings in my new house.

Hey palonghorn! Great to see ya again! I don't care about name
brands! Just as long as it is a good deal and it is comfortable
that's all that matters! Saving money is the name of the game!
You know that nobody slept on the floor model of the bed so
that is good enough! So great deal! An I love rocking chairs!
I have two myself! One was given to me, the other I bought!
I always go to discount stores and buy what I like for the best
prices! Here where I live we have a "Bob's Furniture Discount
Store"! They have furniture for some great discounted prices
and sometimes will also sell floor models! I bought a pair of
lamps for my livingroom there and are waiting for them to be
brought to the store so I can pick them up! They cost $120
for the pair, which isn't bad considering I shopped all over
and online and these were really cool and not like anything
I had seen anywhere! I save $20 by buying 2 and saved shipping
charges by waiting for them to be delivered to the store! It pays
to be a bargain shopper and I certainly am one! I have found some
great deals on furniture online too!

I always shop around first before making a purchase. I had been to 5 other stores before I bought the bed. Since it's just me and the pup I don'g have to be in a big hurry to have a lot of seating, so I'm looking around for a couch. A friend has a sleeper sofa, but not sure it will fit where I want it to. There is another furniture store I haven't checked out yet! But I was told that they have great bargains. I also look online.

Gardens offer tranquillity and peace for anyone who sits in them. For those long, tired days or sitting in the office, resting in the garden can be very relaxg... Gardens offer beauty and the creatures who visit them; including birds and squirrels can be very entertaining to watch. Instead of sitting inside the house doing nothing, you should try the garden for a change. Of course, you do not want to sit on hhat uneven surface that does not have any padding. When choosing that garden furniture, it is important to make sure you choose the type that suits you the best. Most of all, it should be stylish and comfortable.
