I personally prefer to listen to music via my work computer, as the headset they gave me there is pretty awesome. It seems to be studio-quality noise-cancelling headphones from A4Tech.
I also would wish that I had an iPod again, as I realized there was a difference in the sound quality of an iPod vs a standard Chinaphone, which I use now. I'll be praying for a new iPod, soon. :D
So how about you, how do you prefer to listen to music? :D

What are you thinking of getting, Vikkyd? :)
If you're not getting an iPod, I have a friend who got herself a Samsung touchscreen player. I used it once, and.. Not bad, not bad. Pretty sweet gadget, actually. :D

I'm thinking of something like the combination players at http://www.gameroomantiques.com/NY-MD.htm, maybe not the same look but I like the idea of combining different functionalities :)
I actually have an iPod already, 160 GB iPod Classic, in black :) Awesome machine but I still prefer good ol' speakers for the sound quality and because you don't need headphones. Although I might just use the iPod by plugging it to some speakers, then it doesn't really matter if it's a cd/lp/cassette player or iPod. But I bought the iPod because I wanna be able to listen to music when I'm not home...

As far as I am concerned, I think I prefer to listen to music ,too. When I do my work on my computer, I will usually play the mosuic on,which I can at the same time doing my job there. I really enjoy it a lot of fun from the music on my computer.Have a nice day.

Yeah, I love keeping the music on while working too. However, I think I need to work on the multitasking part. Part of my job is to listen to recordings so I can't do both at the same time... But I sometimes do a workaround: I actually play music alongside the recording, but I keep the music on at a lower volume. Heehee.

i have lots of music stored in my desktop in the office. when i come to the office, i open the media player and it will play all of the music there. i also have almost all of the music stored in my laptop, but i seldom open the media player in it. i also have those music stored in my phone, so whenever i am away from both computers and i am on a trip, i put on the headset and listen from it.

Hmm how do I listen to music? Well, hang on a sec.. Let me put on my computer
playlist to help me concentrate...
Ahhh... there we go.
I would normally put some music on just for some ambience in a quiet room to help myself concentrate. At times, I would listen to my radio and jam out to the songs that I know on my guitars, and try to play along with the other songs. I have a knack to listen to some oldies rockballads since the lyrics are good and they are easy to play and have fun with. When I am not listening to oldies, I would listen to basically anything my little heart desires and kick back and do whatever I enjoy. Occasionally when I use to have my surround sound system, I would blast it and enjoy loud music. XD But the wire is not good anymore and same with my high defination headphones. But I do not full blast it loud, just loud enough for people to hear it through my door. With my old headphones, I'd crank it until I hear the bass.

I love music and to listen or play it.
So I prefer to listen to it when it is in good quality of sound, like with a good earphone or good speakers. Well, that is the best way ever!

I honestly cannot stand the sound of great music through speakers. I really prefer them up close and personal or live and loud, so to speak, so I really make an effort to overuse my eardrums with earphones. :D
They do get cumbersome when you need to take them off to communicate with people. But as long as it's a soundtrip, it's a SOUNDTRIP for me!
