I think so.. there is nothing much to clean in their rooms- since they are not so messy- they are both girls. And as much as possible they always like to keep their rooms clean without being told.

I wish that I could say yes, that my little darlings are perfect and keep their rooms sparkling clean, but unfortunately I can not do that. Our youngest is not too bad, our oldest is aweful. I cleaned her room 2 weeks ago because I couldn't stand it any longer and within 2 days it looked horrible again, it makes me so angry. My middle child is not as bad. he actually tries to get stuff in his garbage, but instead of emptying the garbage when it gets full he just lets it over fil and stuff will be pouring out all over the floor around the garbage, plus he leaves his game CD's laying all over the floor. At one time I charged them a quarter for every towel or peice of laundry I had to pick up off of their floor. I need to start doing that again because laundry was never on the floor when I did that.

My kids do not keep their rooms clean either. When they were little we would make them pick up, not just their bedrooms, but also in the living area where they often left toys scattered on the floor. Now they are teenagers and I just don't want to fight about it. I still sometimes say they must clean their rooms, most recently because the cousins were coming to spend the night. My daughter did a good job, but my son's room still look messy. He says he doesn't have a place for everything, meaning he has too much stuff.

No way. My kids will clean their rooms up only when I tell them they must. They are both teenagers and very busy with everything else in their lives so the fact that they come home and drop everything in the middle of thier floor does not suprise me. I know what it was like when I was thier age and so much going on. But we do make it a rule that they have to pick up their floors on the weekend, at least well enough that they have a path to their bed.

Kids are nothing but copy cats. It is their nature to copy what ever the elders do. This is practical. Myself and my wife keep the rooms neat, and always see that any dirty stuff is immediately cleared. Even my children help us in maintaining the room when they are in action we go back in action and observe hem. They are so perfect that they have really duplicated us. We are very proud of our children.
