What is your favorite work of art?  

my favorite artist is picasso because he was truly superb and great and fabulous, today

also he is seen as role model by many painters......

My favorite is Munch. He has a painting of a woman in the woods at night that i love the most. I also like Monet a lot.

I also like contemporary artists like gabrielle Kielland and Wenche Øien, jacob Weideman, and Wiedeberg.

I have little or no creativity in my body myself.

well sender, i do not have any favourite artist. but i do have one piece of art that i am fond of. i was in Burma and went to this shop that did artwork . the pieces of art work are made from Burmese stones that are cut into small pieces grinded like sand. this picture was a scenery of a home with trees at its side with a road up the house. the artist used different coloured sand stone to do up the picture with the words' HOME SWEET HOME'. i like this picture that was framed very simply in wood. i do not know the artist or the artisan who painstakingly complete this lovely peaceful picture. i was told that anyone interested to have their photos to be done in these coloured sand stones, can do so. i have seen one such photo of a family done up this way by them and it was fantastic. have a good day , sender.

I like Rembrandt.
He painted portraits which I have always liked above any other kind of painting but his paintings were often of the street people, not the nobility.
Sometimes his faces look distorted but I think they capture the feeling of the time very well.

hi sender621 i like a lot of the old artist but Monet's use of soft delicate colors like the WaterLily really gets to me, I love all his
works as he captures the depth of smoky soft colors in nature and makes the painting seem like you could walk into it as it looks so real.
Also I love the Mona Lisa as it makes me wonder who the artist had in mind, and what lies behind that expression on her face, is she happy, sad or just resigned to what was in her life. I love paintings that make you think at times.
